i got around to listening to the full album today and idk as a casual listener i loved it, surprised the general reception has been so underwhelmed but maybe it’s just too european of a vibe

some of these songs grew on me like crazyy.. I didn’t care for My Boy Only Breaks His Favorite Toys, But Daddy I Love Him or Fresh Out The Slammer literally at all on my first listen but I’ve been listening to them the most out of everything recently

the last part of this is kinda sending me bc it literally reads like something we would write on a thread here overanalysing after a show lmfao

I also just had a Lana dream lmao.. she was entering her next show on a white horse which was ironically named Shadow. She told the crowd she wanted to actually make her Coachella entrance on the horse too but she wasn't far enough in her training and Shadow was still too skittish for the crowd at that point but now they're fine. Then after the show she made a post on Instagram saying that mastering of the 8th track on Lasso had just been finished and she was excited to share this project with the world and it has some of her favourite songs she's ever written but everyone here was annoyed af because it meant the album was still in development and would be delayed.

after a few listens I must say Peter is the supreme song from this entire double album... it's the only one which could elicit a genuine emotional reaction in me (and Robin too to a lesser extent) something about the pains she goes to tie most of the other songs so clearly to muses or narratives in her life the public knows completely turns me off from them idk.. I think this is also why I love folklore and evermore more than anything else from her recent discography, with those two the music is allowed to speak for itself.. I always wonder what my opinion on a lot of songs would be if I knew less of the "lore"
