I'm really hoping the features are limited on this album. Her recent features have been ridiculous and barely Lana songs. I was okay with Dealer being mostly not Lana bc the song was good but I can't keep doing that. And I get she wants to support her friends but a lot of her friends really suck musically.

The Right Person Will Stay by Lana Del Rey will be released May 21 2025, conspicuously almost 13 000 days after the release of Belgian techno anthem Pump Up The Jam

The Right Person Will Stay- really makes you think, doesn't it? Like, who's the right person? And where are they staying? A hotel? A Premier Inn? And if they leave, does that mean they're the wrong person, or just late for checkout? Deep stuff, really.

It shouldn't be. It's doing damage to actual people offline.
I don't think you're taking seriously what's happening to LGBT people, or at least trans people. Which sucks bc if you're gay or bi, they won't just stop with trans people.
Right Wing thinkers, influencers, and politicians are using these sites to run campaigns against trans people broadly and any specific trans person they don't like. You have politicians using the deadnames of trans people to call them child predators. You have them using children as a weapon to fear monger that our existence inherently makes us pedophiles. They're doing all this with the support of Elon Musk (who is rumored to have sexually abused his trans daughter as a child and who did emotionally neglect and abuse her all the while having his fans attack her on social media and find her IRL). Now Zuckerberg, who is embracing neo-Nazism according to his now former lawyer is attacking and allowing attacks on LGBT people and religious/ethnic minorities. This is a coordinated rise of fascism. If not fascism, then still general right wing authoritarianism.

incitement to violence is not the only problem with hate speech, there's also direct psychological harassment and discrimination
Without rules and with unrestricted free speech, someone could run targeted campaigns against minority groups (as happened in the Third Reich, for example). Especially in social media where there are algorithms and numerous bots influencing political opinion, this is a major problem.

I'm not saying I believe them but remember that one person saying Lana wasn't keen on putting out an Americana album if Trump won the election? I really do wonder if his win altered any of her plans?

Who knows? She may be inspired by the catastrophic LA fires to change direction and plans again, as she did about a year ago with the earlier formulation of Lasso. And the fires aren't over--Hollywood, Beverly Hills, Bel Air, and even the San Fernando Valley may burn before this ends.
As the Pitchfork writer mentioned, she never released White Hot Forever and Rock Candy Sweet, though we probably know them in different forms as COCC and BB.

Yeah the casual reference to BLM was so distasteful, I think I understand what she means, but she definitely must have had a sudden rush of bravery to actually leave it in the album, considering the climate at the time of its release. And I completely understand those who criticised her for it, at the end of the day she put it into a romantic song about someone else. The lyrics are so diluted, like she’s comparing her boyf to her dad, then she’s talking about being at a BLM protest “screaming for them”… it makes no sense.
All that being said, I’m not gonna lie it sounds lovely. I love the dissonance between her vocals and the instrumentation, it’s definitely one of her most experimental songs. If the lyrics had been changed it could have been a great listening experience. It’s a shame, it has such potential as an opener.

The people's stories I've read today about the wildfire and what it has caused shatters my heart It's truly awful, it reminds me of the Australian wildfires from 2020, thinking how many losses it caused. Global warming is a serious thing. So many people, also many children, are affected from this, the nature and animals also have suffered from this a lot. My thoughts are with them. I truly hope that Lipsters from Los Angeles are safe and sound.
I read this article, it shows the different organizations where you can help and donate:

Don’t get me wrong, this is horrible for everyone, but at least it seems to have affected mostly affluent areas? The implication being that I would imagine that most of those affected have other homes and/or can afford to rebuild
Again - I’m not trying to downplay anyone’s suffering or any shit - this is awful whether you are a normie or Paris Hilton. But in less affluent areas, I feel like more people wouldn’t have the means to rebuild (and may even stay to try to save their homes, resulting in a greater loss of life)
I’m sure there ARE people affected who don’t have other homes or the means to rebuild, and hopefully those more fortunate pull together to help.

Just using this post as a general example for when the album rollout (eventually) starts…
Please do not do this. While the snippet this user is referring to is undoubtedly fake, there will inevitably () be a time when these posts aren’t trolls and real stuff may leak. Sharing where to find upcoming leaked material, asking where to find it, or sharing the material itself is all very against LB rules. Even if what you post about is fake, you’re still showing intent to share illegally-leaked material. Be cautious and think before you post. Thank you love you <3

yes, they are. her beliefs reflect who she chooses to align herself with; what she chooses not to say. white women are defined by historically choosing the comfort of their privilege and the status quo over disarming the oppressor. Using the facade of feminine grace and quietness to preserve power and capital.
“I have almost reached the regrettable conclusion that the Negro’s great stumbling block in the stride toward freedom is not the White Citizens Councillor or the Ku Klux Klanner but the white moderate who is more devoted to order than to justice; who prefers a negative peace which is the absence of tension to a positive peace which is the presence of justice; who constantly says, “I agree with you in the goal you seek, but I can’t agree with your methods of direct action”; who paternalistically feels that he can set the timetable for another man’s freedom; who lives by the myth of time; and who constantly advises the Negro to wait until a “more convenient season.” Shallow understanding from people of goodwill is more frustrating than absolute misunderstanding from people of ill will. Lukewarm acceptance is much more bewildering than outright rejection.”
