An optimist! "Because of You" might have been intended for the tracklist or not, but it exists and it was speculated early on before anything was registered and then also registered with several other Paradise songs. You know, she said she'd written a song for every month of the year on Paradise (well presumably the first nine months, at least), so there's a chance some of these were never even considered. However, titles like "Cola" and "American" took everyone by surprise because most people were expecting the tracklist to have Because of You, JFK, and Burning Desire--trifecta of rumored titles. Anyway I tweaked the playlist to suit the order of songs on Tropico. Not sure how I feel about it yet but I'll always report back 1. Ride 2. JFK 3. American 4. Young & Beautiful 5. Blue Velvet 6. Lana Del Rey took to Twitter tonight to officially confirm her new short film titled Tropico. Thanks to paparazzi and a brief tease from Lana herself at a concert in Europe, we've known of the existence of this film for quite some time. However, Lana has broken her silence and decided to give us all deliverance by posting this new poster for the film and following it up with, "TROPICO - a 30 minute film coming to a city near your. Premier dates coming soon. Lots of Love, Lana Del Rey.", perhaps suggesting that the project is at last complete. The film will serve as an extended music video for three songs from her latest release, "Body Electric", "Gods & Monsters", and "Bel Air". It is directed by Anthony Mandler ("National Anthem", "Ride") and co-stars Shaun Ross.
