I'm really not seeing where I attacked you. An emoticon? Is that it?

So this will air in America, right...?

You know it's odd, she expresses a great admiration for her dad ("That's the way my father made his life an art", "I pledge allegiance to my dad for teaching me everything he knows"), yet has classic signs of daddy issues. I wonder if they ever had any conflict. I think she's just playing off the shock factor in "Cola" as much as she can--not insinuating that she's in love with her dad.

I'm really not going to say "That's okay, but I disagree" every time my opinion differs from yours. That's not a conversation. Sorry.

Asking for your opinion doesn't automatically implicate that I'm going to agree with it, or that I should, that's ridiculous.

Thereabouts, my good man: http://lanadelreyonline.com/lana-del-rey-on-dutch-show-langs-de-leeuw/ Wonder if there should perhaps be a thread on the topic, it seems a lot of people missed it.

I really don't think so, and I at least attempt to pride myself on paying close attention to lyrics and themes. I suppose one could interpret "Do you wanna jump?" in the "we got a jumper"/"jumping off-a bridges" sense, but nothing else particularly suggests that. Seems like a drugged-out love song to me, with a typical Lana Del Rey vagueness hinting at the demise of the relationship in the third verse. Let me emphasize again that I like the demo about as much as I like any other solid demo that's pretty similar to the album version. I'm totally lost when it comes to the arguments against the album version for that very reason. And to hop on the bandwagon: I'm a fan of the guitars-jumping technique (in a song called "Jump", har-har) because it's clever and pleasing to my ears. I like a less straightforward delivery. Really, the final just seems like a spiffed-up version of the demo.

It is not about suicide, boo The melody lends really well to some upbeat vocals. It's in the melody, all the way. I couldn't give a shit if she says the word "heroin". It's comparable to her whispering...any other song that's written in a genuine upbeat style. I don't know if it has anything to do with major keys but I probably should so I can explain this better. And your "jumps from speaker to speaker" argument will nevarrr convince me!

Lemme finally lend to the complaints: I thought I'd get it faster by going through a middleman (Harlem) in the UK, but no dice

Oddly it's rumored that Lady Gaga and Prince are also writing songs for it, so I guess Lana's not doing the whole thing. But a few songs, I mean...that's the soundtrack she was made to be featured on!

Nope, that's the only answer. I haven't the slightest clue. Minus 1 for me. How old is "Yayo"?
