Q Awards @@maru Tip for transcribers: lower the speed of the YouTube video to 0.5 or 0.25 and it will get much easier to transcribe while the video is playing. Also, it sounds freaking hilarious!

@@maru Okay, the 2011 biography from the Universal Music site has been successfully "translated." I was googling a certain phrase because it sounded kind of familiar to me, and I found this exact translation of the biography on the Brit Awards site. I was halfway done with my translation and just checked the rest of this official English version and it is indeed the press text released on the Universal Music website. @@lola If you need any help with the other two texts, just tell me which one I should help you out with, in case you haven't translated them already. Dear transcribers, I'm going to work on the Taratata interview now. @@maru

First of all, this piece is from the German (you don't say) November 2011 issue of Rolling Stone magazine. The article was written by Jürgen Ziemer. I haven't had the time yet to read through it, but I'll get back to you on this one.

Everything that's available on the internet might be easy to find, but I believe that print-only interviews and/or articles will be quite a problem...

I think what @@Monicker said about her not understanding a lot of concepts she's talking about really applies here. I can't say if she has an extremely eccentric definition of those concepts, like feminism in this case, or if she's indeed horribly misinformed. I would like to hear a more elaborate statement on this issue, but I kind of doubt she's devoted a lot of time thinking about it. Her reply seemed kind of... spontaneous and ill-conceived.

Wow, who knew 'stanning' is a serious occupation that entails a post like this. Don't you think you take this a little bit too far? Reading that post gives me the impression that everyone who has not been with the artist since the very beginning is supposed to kill themselves because their (pseudo-)stanning practices are too mediocre to be worthy. That sense of elitism in fan bases is extremely repulsive. Like, no. I'm not ranting at you, but I just think that post was pretty out of line... and obsessed, not in a good way.

I'm not sticking up for Lana, I'm just stating my opinion on the interview. Frankly, I really don't have a problem with anyone criticising her for what she said, because what said was pretty at times, see the poetry remark. Just don't take it personally, okay? I think we all can handle this without getting upset and mad at each other.

This, out of everything she said, was what made me gasp the most. This is indeed a very judgmental and pretentious statement. Like I said in my post one page earlier, I'd love to see a video recording of this interview...
