  1. Basically, now that he's living with his mother ("taking care of her") and is in money trouble he's accepting every interview he can get on his hands where they pay him $10 for each mentioning of Lana in Gaga related context and vice versa? I am kidding, of course, but well... He makes it sounds like Lana has given him an in-depth word-for-word analysis and interpretation of her own song lyrics and vividly discussed each and every single reference made to other people. I doubt it, but what do I know. Mr Leone, if you're reading this: good luck with managing those two new artists. Hopefully your efforts work out as flawlessly as your former client Viola whom you described as the next international pop superstar. We're anxiously awaiting Viola Boards. Don't you see a pattern? All artists you used to manage but then kind of stopped managing only took off after. Anyways, good luck and maybe it's time to write a tell all book. And leak those unreleased (Lana and) Gaga demo tapes that you tried selling but were then bought back by Gaga herself. Hopefully you saved music files in at least 320kbit/s quality. You better did. Goodbye now, for real.
  2. Massen-)Medium eingeführt, mit dem neue Formen der Kommuni- kation und der Wahrnehmung einhergingen.
  3. I avoided listening to the radio performance and I fucking love the song. I can't really dwell on it right now because my head is somewhere else, but I just fucking love the song.
  4. Right click here and enjoy.
  5. Isn't it funny when you really want to support an artist and buy their singles digitally but can't?
  6. "Off to the Races" "Bel Air" "Body Electric" "Lolita"
  7. It is. Pre-ordered mine this morning, by the way.
  8. Great find, really! Bowie even features in that film during that exact tour Sky supposedly referenced. It indeed is one fascinating time, the mid-1970s, so I'm not surprised she might be inspired by it on many different levels. Needless to say, the book and film have reached sort of must-read and must-see status among Bowie fans. Especially because the film bases on the music heard on Low, "Heroes" and Lodger. I like that Sky isn't doing the usual bog-standard Bowie references. On the other hand, who's surprised that she doesn't?
  9. There's something I noticed a long time ago, but I don't know if any of you or even Sky herself has brought that up already. If so, please don't crucify me. It seems as Sky has been particularly inspired by David Bowie for the stage set-up of her performances earlier this year. For his Isolar tours in 1976 and 1978, Bowie had a tube light cage built, consisting of - wait for it - dozens of tube lights. Sky who has been outspoken about being inspired and fascinated by Bowie's Berlin recordings, Low among them, might have drawn on that. I think it's a nice addition to the stage set-up. And a tastefully executed homage, if you will. Just thought I'd share that.
  10. All the things I see on here, Twitter and God knows where else... if she doesn't say anything people complain and if she does they still do.
  11. I didn't want to preempt you, so I waited for you to enlighten us with your meticulously collected information.
  12. Why don't we just wait and see what happens... how about being thankful she broke the silence herself?

    Lorde

I saw the poster for the Australian tour and was inspired to do a little something.
  14. At least from what I understand, the song is about living despite mortality and giving in to love's devouring powers, if that makes any sense in a non-poetic way. The way I see it, "she" is rather longing for love, as in being in a relationship, instead of already receiving it. But I agree, this song is pretty cryptical. I believe her lyric clustering is relatively evident here. I don't mean to accuse her of throwing in a couple of pointless phrases that don't mean anything but sound nice, but it might be that way. She seems to be taking a little bit from here, a little bit from there, and mixes everything into one cluster of lyrics.

I'm sure you were the best in class.
  16. Stop pretending to be a linguist when you're not. You suck at Pragmatics, frankly.

    Lady Gaga

I can't find those songs anywhere... repertoire.bmi.com doesn't list them anymore. I remember this being reported last year, but I never saw those song titles myself on BMI. I was able, however, to find a screenshot of them. "Candy Art" is also listed with the alternative title "Candy Life Candy Is Art," a song co-written by Jaqulinn Megan Lee. This one could indeed be the one she hinted at with her tweets the other day. Another song co-written by the same person is "Cold-Hearted Bitch" which uses the alternative title "Bitch of the Night." I kind of have the feeling that this song might be "Donatella." Quoting Gaga on the song: "Donatella, maybe she’s a bitch, maybe she’s too skinny, maybe she’s too rich, maybe she’s too out there. Or, maybe she’s brilliant, maybe she’s intelligent, maybe she’s strong, maybe she’s everything, maybe she’s Donatella." Now, I know that the sole mentioning of "bitch" may not necessarily indicate that, but we'll see. "CRWTH," or "Clock Spins," is also co-written by Jaqulinn Megan Lee, and additionally by DJ White Shadow and Jeppe Laursen, who co-wrote "Born This Way." I don't know about that one, honestly. What I find way more interesting than all that is that those songs have been removed from the BMI database. The BMI Work IDs no longer function either. I think all the songs from Born This Way were registered either the day of the album release, or one or two days after. Why were they registered in the first place then? It doesn't really make sense to me. I don't remember exactly, but sometime in 2011 or 2012 maybe, a couple of newly registered song titles were reported fake by Gaga and her staff. Again, how did these song titles get registered in the first place? Of course, they might have been real and she just didn't want anyone to know but whoever registered these songs, those reported fake and the ones we're talking about here, must be a straight-up idiot. I'm pretty thrilled to see how this continues...
  18. It's /fɛrɑɪrə/, to be pedantically, phonologically correct. I have know about Sky for a long time already because has been begging me to listen to her for ages, literally. But it hasn't been until 2012 that I actually gave her a try. I have been a casual listener ever since but always had problems with seeing through her. I think I remotely understand why her record label has had tremendous problems with marketing her because the question is: what is typically Sky Ferreira? I still am not quite sure as to what the answer is because she's obviously been growing as a person and as an artist these past years. The album has been, as probably all of us know, subject to many delays and cancellations. Entire recorded potential debut albums were scrapped, and two EPs were released instead. With Night Time, My Time being as dangerously close to release as never before, I have the impression that this time, she's very confident in her work. After so many changes and seemingly endless recommencements, I am convinced this record will be a perfect debut album; one that she probably won't be ashamed of in a couple of years.
  19. Am I the only who doesn't quite get everybody's attitude? I mean, this project is not a cellphone recorded YouTube announcement she promised to upload six weeks ago...
  20. This [she] is not what a convicted criminal looks like!
  21. Just that. At everything.
