Her label probably won't give her HQ recordings of the songs because they don't want her to leak them
-
She should've just done the whole album with Stephen Kozmeniuk tbh............ Also omg does she not have writing credits on Genesis?
-
Apparently Quavo's verse on Lie is actually "emotional" and really different than your standard Migos sound Also, Strangers is about a lesbian romance

Someone asked me to rip the Fall On Me (Piano Version) from the vinyl for them and I finally got around to it https://www.dropbox.com/s/bpqigzq1sjhdql4/01%20Fall%20On%20Me%20%28Piano%20Version%29.m4a?dl=0

What is this? EDIT: Sorry, the image link wasn't loading

Wow, her Fallon performance was really good, she seems so much more confident when performing. I'd love to hear a version of Now or Never like this
-
Full disclosure: I like the song and I think it will fit well on the album That being said, its very obvious that this is a Weeknd reject. Not only is it stylistically similar to the majority of Starboy's filler, but she's even singing it like he would. While I like the song and think it will fit in well with her album, I wish she would've at the very least sung it a bit different so it sounds more like her and less like her singing a Weeknd song.

Leak "I See Your Heart Start to Break"
-
She's not even being billed as the main opening act, PND is
-
They're not on her record record, they just have writing credits. Its likely the Weeknd credit came from a song from his sessions with Benny Blanco/Cashmere Cat/Frank Dukes for Starboy and the Sia credit came from one of her sessions with Greg Kurstin. The producers probably played the unused tracks for Halsey and she decided she liked them and wanted to use them or parts of them, for her album. This is common industry practice, big names like Beyonce, Katy Perry, Rihanna, Drake, etc. do this all the time. Also mess @ this Rihanna stan not knowing The Weeknd has writing credits on Woo

In the order they played: I took your hand and held it in my clutch I wanna walk with you in someone's shoes Diamonds really diamonds I am longing for your poison Love you can chase it but it always leaves you behind Feeling out of touch Your so damn important Round the city, round the clock I'm standing in tomorrow's way Let's go beneath this wasteland I pour a four up This is what god feels like High up in the Hollywood hills taking violet pills And I know she'll be the death of me You go out and have your fun with my head Look back You tell me all the things i wanna do Your language has me tongue tied I foresee it's true Do you recall You fake a smile and bat your eyes
-
Not someone with a Rihanna avi on a Lana Del Rey forum coming at someone for writing with the Weeknd when both have also written with him
-
No shade, but where?
-
Ok unpopular opinion, but I like the new version of OHDH a lot more than the original. Something about the original just didn't sound right, and I think this version really fixed it by speeding it up a bit.
-
Also don't know why I'm just realizing this, but people probably think Now or Never sounds like Needed Me because both songs' hooks were written by Starrah

Can Urban start sending out the vinyls 3 weeks early like they did with Badlands?
-
This isn't funny or cute

I'm annoyed with the wait, but if we get it early July I'll be happy. I was upset about the RCA deal initially, but finding out Tunji Balogun is A&R eased my nerves a bit. I'm fine waiting two months (June is crowded with big releases) if it means she'll finally get the recognition/attention she deserves.
-
On the upside, her A&R is Tunji Balogun who did an incredible job getting Bryson Tiller and Khalid out into the mainstream without compromising sound & was responsible for Kendrick and Schoolboy Q blowing up when he worked for Interscope (hence why the two have joint deals with Interscope). And since it's a joint deal I don't know if RCA has the power to delay the album beyond release conflicts.
