Norman Fucking Rockwell - Pre-Release Thread
TheBoss replied to Elle's topic in Retired Pre-Release Threads
I really can't. I'm gonna be THAT person, but I think that it really is just the wrong music video for the wrong song. Imho the video looks pretty nice, the whole concept was there, that scene where Lana hands her man his glass is incredible. For me is mostly the terrible editing the one that ruins the video and the fact that it scream BAR all over it. -
"in the mood for a bang bang so i’m also very happy to announce i will release my ep still sad, still sexy on july 26. two new songs, some remixes and some alternate takes from ssss. i love you. thank you for always waiting so patiently." via Instagram

Lust For Life - Post-Release Discussion Thread + Poll
TheBoss replied to Elle's topic in Post-Release Threads
Lust for Life really was an amazing era, the Love promo, the constant livestreams, the pop up shops, the merchandise, high budget videos, constant interviews and photoshoots. Amazing despite all the flaws -
It's a really cute song, but it wasn't love at first sight like Godless, I guess it will be a grower

The album already has 4 scores on metacritic, all of them 80 by Clash Music, NME, Line of Best Fits and Q Magazine, it has an overall score of 84 for now It will probably drop, but I'm excited they're giving her high scores since TLOBF and Clash gave The Altar a 75 and 70 respectively, while NME gave Goddess a 7/10 and we know how both albums smash

There's rumours about David Gordon Green will come back to direct two sequels from Halloween (2018) back to back and there's the possibilty they might release them in the same month. This is such a bizarre way to release a trilogy, but I'd be totally down with this idea, they might release them as part I & II. https://bloody-disgusting.com/movie/3571159/halloween-rumor-david-gordon-green-returning-direct-back-back-sequels/

I guess you mean live shows not performances? In that case oh boy, I haven't seen all of them but my favorites are were she twists the original version a lot. MTV Unplugged 1994: Lot's of bongos, harps and harpischords. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8J0KBM2xK4w Orchard Hall, Japan 2001: Harps, beats, strings and choir https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ji2ZbALjhaM HBO Reverb 2001: Harp, beats, strings and choir https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sFs6Xs5Sq_Y Volta in Paris 2009: Trumpets and lots of horns! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HeKAVX2s6hM Vulnicura Live 2015: My personal favorite, strings and exquisite beats https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EO7EeeGoXLY As of documentaries I know she has a bunch of documentaries from makings of albums, I think I've never seen them tho, I'll link them anyway. Overall Career: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qbJCqnITC7s Making off Homogenic: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O-Z9Zp65Fak Making off Vespertine: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=If5d9XvlaQY Making off Medulla: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZEZeBB_SHWo Also some shameless promo but I did a live album from Medulla if you want to check it out https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NIyF2Y0vMPg&feature=youtu.be

I really liked Suspiria but I'd say you should be careful and have your expectations low, it's not a film for everybody. This year so far has been pretty weak in my opinion, I recommend "Us" but I can't remember another film right now.

Hereditary might have been my favorite movie of last year, I'm incredibly hyped for Midsommar, it will get released in my country in September though I got REALLY hyped for The Perfection once I read BloodyDisgusting's review about it. It was an okay movie, I believe It could've been miles better tho, the idea was there but I think they executed it really bad, plus some of the acting and the script was not good at all. But hey that's just me, I saw it with my boyfriend and a friend and they enjoyed it a lot. I liked it a lot! It was a very good and solid slasher and I hope we get a sequel, Idk if it's still in progress since Miramax is being sold around (the studio that has the right to both the Halloween and Scream saga). And I'm so glad that it was a smash in the box office and critics alike, seeing a great solid slasher nowadays it's quite rare.

Pluto is so good! ALthough I do believe that Sod Off would fit nicely between 5 Years and Immature or either between Immature and Pluto, definitely the most album worthy B-Side from the Homogenic era, such a shame that we never got a HQ live perfomance from it .
-
I think she means retiring of the tourlyfe ( ), If she was retiring from music I think she would do a post or something, well so my opportunities of seeing her live go down the drain once again .

This era feels so uneventful compared to The Altar the red vinyl looks really cute!
-
26 years since Debut got released what a classic
-
The whole album is pure gold in my opinion, but I have a soft spot for No Drug Like Me, Everything He Needs, Too Much and Real Love.

So disgusting what they did to her, and what a cunt is Justin Bieber, but what's new.

Idk if it was already posted, but Machine Gun Kelly's new album is coming out this friday and I can't find the IG post where he said he scrapped all the material he was working on (including Lana's collab), so we MIGHT get a few moans and mumbles a new song this friday if we are lucky. -

I can't believe she had the nerve to switch her new song for that horrible LATTMT rendition of NA, I feel so sorry for you guys. -
The Dedicated Tour kicked off tonight and jer stage is GORGEOUS! We don't deserve her
-
I don't really care for the remix, but that cover art ugh NDLM deserved a proper single release with a music video
