  1. is the Party 4 U 2017 version on dbree just an edit?? It sounds really, really good thank you to whoever made it!!
  2. even though LFL isn’t particularly my favorite, it’s so sentimental for me. Even the songs I don’t like bring back so many memories of 2017 that I can’t help but feel nostalgic listening to them.
  3. yup. it used to be my top song. it's a classic in her discography but she's made a lot more emotionally striking songs since
  4. i swear i start disassociating in the middle whenever i do these 1 Venice Bitch 2 The Greatest 3 Mariners Apartment Complex 4 Brooklyn Baby 5 Video Games 6 Pretty When You Cry 7 Sad Girl 8 Cruel World 9 Shades of Cool 10 Ultraviolence 11 California 12 West Coast 13 Flipside 14 Heroin 15 Happiness is a Butterfly with the last song being In My Feelings
  5. i've been seeing Brooklyn Baby, Meet Me in the Pale Moonlight, and Yes to Heaven all over my for you page
  6. i think because it's the new year i'm a lot more sentimental right now but i remember discovering this like 4 years ago and it makes me REALLY nostalgic listening to this wtf we're all growing up and it's kinda scary, but this mixtape remains immovable (especially grins omg) the fact that she's sticked to the 90s/y2k aesthetic this decade authentic queen
  7. whether you like it or not, i really think bartender is one of her most (if not the most) unique released songs. she really goes full on singer/songwriter here. even though she does basically the same with HIADT, i feel like bartender is the first happier piano ballad she's made lol i remember hearing the snippet and literally not knowing where the song could go next
  8. his music is so good tbh i don't think lana can touch his emotion or depth santa diss track >>> ultraviolence
  9. still sad that this album might not come out, was hoping she would cover this. considering it's not a standard and it's 'classic' status is questionable, I still think lana's voice would be so amazing on this omg imagine the UV vocals/reverb she could serve
  10. Does anyone else feel that since Lana has such a plethora of solid released music, it's harder to keep track or listen to her unreleased songs now compared to the BtD - UV era (I'm talking mainly the 'classic' unreleased like TV in Black and White, Prom Song, Starry Eyed - songs from that era)? I mention this because I listened to songs like JFK, TV in Black and White, and Behind Closed Doors for the first time probably in 2 years or more and it made me so nostalgic and it's bittersweet to see how much she's grown and progressed as an artist
  11. the way i thought this thread was probably from 2012 but it was made in 2019
  12. While I agree people shouldn’t be forced to take the vaccine, if less people take the vaccine that means the US as a whole will likely take a longer time to return to normal compared to other countries that basically have due to our vast country size, the non-response to COVID by our government, and the actions by the people in our population (large gatherings, underground parties, etc). It’s the compromise we have to deal with I guess; it just sucks for frontline workers whose jobs already suck. Thinking of moving into tech LOL
  13. It’s definitely more of a norm in non-western countries especially in Asia. While herd immunity and such are important, there’s a reason why doctor offices and hospitals ask sick people to wear masks (and this rule was really never followed until COVID happened lol) on the other hand I just got the first series of the vaccine for work! No reactions yet.
  14. Crimson and Clover

    Song vs. Song

Us Against the World vs TV in Black and White
  15. at the risk of sounding dramatic, i feel like if i was a celebrity i'd be afraid of her lol she obsesses over so many celebrities when some of them probably are not even aware of her existence. not only this but she has like multiple assault charges like- didn't she bite her sister's nipple or something????
  16. this is one of the most energetic songs i know, it's just so good and an obvious highlight in PCL i can't tell you how many times i've danced in the kitchen to this
  17. one of the comments: "Well that was mostly an article about nothing..why not just have a section for simply ....celebrity spotted shopping...." i have to agree also she looks hot here wtf
  18. I honestly really liked the videos of the NFR era, obviously VB especially. I think VB’s has a lot of great shots/visuals. Even if you don’t like the the loop (which I honestly think looks cool and matches with the song), I love the shots of San Francisco, the light halos, etc. her homemade NFR videos are just really fun to me, I watch them more than TG or Doin Time tbh
  19. I agree with CHN2, I’ve always thought Lana has made really similar music to Cohen, I’m also a sucker for folk/singer songwriter and it’s my favorite side of Lana. Honestly love her cover of Roadhouse Blues by the Doors and would love a more polished/studio version of it
  20. I agree! never understood why people call it 'safe'. Like, yes it is enjoyed by the GP (maybe not even the 'GP' - it's not even played on the radio all the time or anything - but music critics, which are bit more niche than what people may think imo) but there are just some albums that can be good AND liked by the GP just saying lol. It's like saying TPAB by Kendrick or Igor by Tyler were safe because they got Grammy nominations or are some of their most recognized albums like i feel like if it was less popular or didn't do as well critically it would be seen as a gem tbh
  21. during the HM era and before (basically before Elle took ownership of this site) this was the default profile pic for new users. anyone could make an account and a lot of the new accounts had this profile pic and spammed sc*t
  22. i love lmlylaw but i feel like she's gonna make so many ppl tired of it with these performances
