  1. it makes me sad how much the franchise has basically fallen; literally all the sims games before 4 were really fun to play. i feel like 4 actually really had potential but so many features were left out of it and the expansion packs were really minimal compared to those of the previous games. i'm really hoping they fix stuff up for the sims 5 but i'm not holding my breath for EA.
  2. honestly not a big fan of her background singers in summertime and the live lmlylaw performance, i feel like they don't really work with her voice (i thought the audience was singing along in the live lmlylaw performance tbh ) . they're great in thunder though
  3. i've actually never head this version of the song, thank you for this omg i've always wanted lana to cover king crimson and this version would suit her so well speaking of progressive rock, I would love it if she covered this. i also think lana could really cover any carole king song, especially because she seems to love singer songwriters from the 70s.
  4. This is more of a historical not “fake-woke” Twitter issue though lol the song and the show it was in (Porgy and Bess, argued by some to be a minstrel show) has been controversial in some circles since it was created, especially during the Civil Rights era. I mean it’s whatever because it’s been covered by so many artists but please try not reducing it to “fake-woke Twitter,” there’s literally valid history behind its controversy.
  5. that coke necklace i can't believe i didn't get it at the endless summer tour smh
  6. something about forever's intro always gives me the chills like crazy

  8. manifesting a "Lana Del Rey - Chemtrails Over the Country Club (Live from The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon)" video on December 14th
  9. while I love WC I think Brooklyn Baby deserves some, if not more, love as well I feel like it's not exactly hated on here, but I do wish HIADT got more love too. IMO it's one of the most melancholic, intimate, and lonely songs I've heard in general by any artist that honestly makes me uncomfortable at times (especially because she compares herself to Sylvia Plath, which is a really serious topic regarding mental health tbh). Everything flows so well lyrically and the piano is so minimal that her voice and lyrics as a singer/songwriter are what matter the most. I believe she did not have a song in her discography that was literally just about her sadness-but-not-sadness/depression/dysthymia(?) before HIADT (other than Is This Happiness [underrated as well!!], but that type of sadness is tied to another figure, whereas the sadness of HIADT seemingly stems from within), which maybe is why I'm so drawn to it.
  10. my break down song was HIAB literally in the middle of waking to class and hearing that song, tears started STREAMING down my face and people were staring at me
  11. right broke up with my bf with that album and HIADT and HIAB just has hit so different ever since
  12. i've been afraid to say this on here but yeah imo her best covers are of folk/rock, and if she's doing jazz I think she has to add her own twists to it, which is why I think the Other Woman is her best jazz cover (and the cover itself is not entirely jazz either)

  14. choosing violence today w/ a probably super unpopular opinion but I would have preferred Ultraviolence to consist of Tracks 1 - 7 (up to PWYC) and then the bonus tracks to replace the rest (maybe throw Old Money into it) I feel like they have would fit the album better and would have more of an impact tbh, especially with Flipside and Is This Happiness! Also, I think Guns and Roses is a solid track, I understand why people might not like it but it's pretty great to me. My ideal tracklist would have probably been something like:
