This. Anyone who wants to listen to the stripped back version of HtD can just listen to the audio from the Apple event (which is already in good quality). I wouldn’t mind it being a straight piano ballad if she didn’t already perform it live. There’s going to be nothing exciting to look forward to if she releases it without added production, especially if it’s like Hope. At least Change had some synths in the last chorus to make it sound more interesting

That is actually so mind boggling. The fact that I'll (hopefully) live to see Lana's music age 50+ years is so crazy to me. Like imagine the new generation of kids listening to Lana. Is she gonna be considered cool like how we consider music from 30+ years back cool?

Industry plant or not, this type of melody is exactly what I wanna hear in pop music so I'm rooting for her

She is such a great lyricist. Definitely reminds me of Fiona Apple in a way. NA isn't that far off in terms of styling but this look/shot makes me really suspicious for some reason. It just looks a bit more 'planned' in my eyes. Kind of trying to imagine what the tracklist is like since she said she saved the songs with rock undertones for the last half of the album. Would MAC and VB count as having rock undertones? Where does that put HTD and all the other piano ballads?

Not necessarily unpopular but I don't believe that the Video Games MV was 100% spontaneous. She looks a bit more "done up" than her other homemade music videos and the editing seems a bit more "careful" as well. I definitely feel like her management/label was involved to a certain degree. But that's just basic marketing. Including more shots of her looking gorgeous is obviously going to catch more attention than a genuine, unprepared everyday look. Don't know why some equate this with a lack of artistry though. She has been doing videos like this for years, don't know what's so bad about refining your craft but okay.

I wonder if mass production for the CD's has even started
