  1. HELL YES I LOVE IT THE EXTRA TITLE + the fact that I'm gonna SOB @ THIS SONG
  2. It's this show!: http://lanaboards.com/index.php?/topic/1630-20070406-the-cutting-room/
  3. Janelle is amazing!! Probably the artist I've been a fan of the longest, and still right up there w Lana for me
  4. and here's the playlist, which turned out GREAT: https://open.spotify.com/playlist/37i9dQZF1EjuzI40oP7L8E no Lana in my top songs in the pic, but the Lana songs in the playlist were Florida Kilos, Cherry, Mariners Apartment Complex, and Get Free
  5. small note, but I thought she said something along the lines of "I just smile, say 'I know, but I like to sing along'"
  6. ........fuck me up........ can officially say i never know what to expect from this woman and i love it
  7. oh, in that case, nevermind haha I was thinking it was something fuller in the vein of Pussycat Kittycat
  8. what is Daddy's Girl, and why is it so hard to find now if it already leaked??????
  9. okay finally listening through the remasters -- on Never for Ever now -- and oh my GOD!! it's really like hearing them for the first time again
  10. DYING to hear the remasters!!! I've listened to the samples and I'm practically drooling over the sound of all the albums, each for different reasons
  11. can anyone tell me what the music in chuck's video from the event is? I really like it and I would love to know
  12. If you ever find it, please let me know!!!! I only saw where he revealed those three tracks, and I'm so eager to hear the rest
  13. exactly you said that so well i love this album so much -- it's really hard to ever find the words for it and the impact its had on me!!!!!! it's defo such an anomaly just in general that it's so hard to classify/compare/describe it
  14. Mermaid Motel - GODLY and probably her best demo imo but i love both versions so much for their totally distinct vibes Lucky Ones and Without You - both WAY preferable to the finals, which ended up totally overproduced Money Power Glory - demo is much more listenable than the final to me honorable mentions are the Lolita demos (song sucks in general but the demos are slightly better), National Anthem demos (not I Want It All tho, she can choke), Mertens' Brite Lites, and probably the rest of the UV demos if we ever hear them
  15. he never released the whole thing!!! he only said that FKP2 was track 1, Kill Kill was track 9, and Mermaid Motel was track 13 i'm dying to know the rest!!!! i feel like that tracklist is the one the album would've had if it were released in '09 like originally planned, so it's kind of a headscratcher as to why they switched it up
  16. i have a love for it now, but only because i'm so used to it -- otherwise, AKA deserved a MUCH better and more dynamic cover even the kill kill EP cover is miles better:
  17. that's the ONLY problem I've ever had w AKA -- the arrangement of the tracklist is a little off. like, sonically, the gapless flow is great, but the placement just feels off. i think that the original arrangement of the tracklist that eclipse has teased, w For K p2 as opener and Mermaid Motel as closer, might sound a lot better
  18. I was thinking as I watched that it was definitely livestream
  19. seriously haven't cried @ a song like this since I listened to BPBP the first time how to disappear has been my least anticipated song thus far and STILL made me cry in the last verse i'm -----------
  20. having an @@annedauphine moment after that livestream like... my stan card is never being turned in -- i'm in for the long haul, a fan4lyfe bc i love this woman sm!!!! latina qween
  21. While I can't speak for Rockwell's personal life, I feel like they're definitely conflating his art with J.C. Leyendecker's, who WAS openly gay, and painted a large portion of the art that pops up in that Google screenshot. They had a somewhat similar visual style and both painted for the Saturday Evening Post, but Leyendecker's art was far more homoerotic and was obviously trying to subversively depict some gay stuff that couldn't come through openly in that time. I've never really seen that in Rockwell's work. It's kind of irritating to me, that they're trying so hard to make Rockwell this LGBT figure when it's iffy at best, while one of his contemporaries really WAS gay and was creating gay art, but gets ignored comparatively.
