Does anyone else feel this special connection to Love + Fear? Like I know that in terms of creativity of lyricism and production this album is weak but funny thing is I love this album and nothing can make me hate it. It's probably because of my own personal reasons when it was released but damn, I still occasionally listen to it. I loooove the ballads in it.
My favorite tracks are Emotional Machine, End Of The Earth, Soft To Be Strong, Handmade Heaven, To Be Human, Believe In Love, Superstar and Too Afraid. I love the crystal clear sound in those tracks. And I love the introspective lyricism in some of these. The world-building in Handmade Heaven is simply dreamy. Life Is Strange, Enjoy Your Life, Karma and True fell into the "meh" category for me where I don't like either the production or the lyrics. Like I love the production of Life Is Strange but the lyrics are basic but while I love the quirkiness of Karma, I don't like the production because it's too idk Clean Bandit-y tropical pop to me.
I don't like Baby and I don't listen to it but again I've got very special connection to it because of the time it was released. This song in general feels like a fever dream lmao. No More Suckers and You are the only songs I don't like at all and don't listen to. I consider Orange Trees basic but I don't necessarily hate it but again, I don't listen to it as well.

That’s been her fandom for years - she gets constant hate for not sounding like her previous records.
A lot of people said they disliked froot initially and now it’s her best record ever and she’s never beaten it…
Butterfly / Cupid seem to lean into the quirky and indie pop vibes she had when she started. Not saying everyone has to like them but overall they’re just fun tracks. /shrug

Djo
Bio:
Djo, is the solo project of musician / producer / actor Joe Keery. Djo’s new album, DECIDE will be released on September 16th and is the follow up to TWENTY TWENTY, his 2019 critically acclaimed guitar-forward record and his first solo-effort since departing his band, the Chicago psych rock outfit Post Animal. Keery –who is of course also known far and wide for his acclaimed acting roles in such blockbuster projects as Stranger Things – has been making music since his teens, spending over two years with Post Animal before making his solo debut as Djo. DECIDE was created with musician / engineer Adam Thein throughout the pandemic with final recording taking place at Sound Factory in Los Angeles. DECIDE serves as a sort of aural history of Keery’s late 20’s. It features reflections on growth, relationships and navigating it all in a world filled with technology at its center. It’s his sonic ambitions however that take these introspections and melt them into a warped reality with each layered synth pulling the listener’s emotional strings.
Albums:
Twenty Twenty (2019)
Stream: Apple Music / Spotify / TIDAL / YouTube
DECIDE (2022)
Stream: Apple Music / Spotify / TIDAL / YouTube
