not official or anything no, just an edit (i have no idea who made it tho ) chemtrails is one of her most cohesive albums ever and i will die on that hill!

sitting here thinking about how this picture was probably supposed to be the album cover and it was probably someone at her label who brought up the nonissue of it not having any poc, which is why when lana posted the actual cover on insta she went on that weird little mini rant in the comments talking about how her friend group is diverse and not just white girls (which nobody in the comments mentioned in the first place)

Tbh one thing that’s really gotten on my nerves ever since Taylor’s Versions is that now, with like every artist ever, you’ll see stan’s on twitter like “omg do (Your Version) of all your old albums!!!!” and it’s like …? 😭 Like, half the time it’s for pointless reasons and it’s just them wanting an artist to re-record old, already released music (which? seems so pointless) And even if an artist didn’t own their masters, that is not always a solution? Taylor’s situation was so particular and the fact that scooter gave her the option to re-record everything was great luck, but like, I’m sure taylor wouldn’t have done all this if she didn’t absolutely have to The whole situation sucked so bad, and I don’t think any other artist would willingly want to put themselves through all that lol. Taylor, however, with her fame really lucked out with her versions doing so incredibly well, her fanbase will eat up anything and everything she puts out, and like, good for her anyways. ben and ed are so great at making sure their artists are treated right and do a great job at setting them up for success, gotta love em <3

i mean it wasn’t until february that lana started talking about how she decided she wanted to do backing vocals and how she would’ve done more if she had known and like everyone, from the get go, was like, we want more lana on it! so i’m sure taylor saw those two things and was like, yeah this is a good idea that benefits everyone… what’s wrong with the timing? lana was wrapped up in her own album cycle from december-march, i feel like now is the *best* time she could’ve done it. it’s not overshadowing ocean blvd and if anything will just give it more attention?
