After listening to BB more, I reckon Lana sings "Spring I skip"/"Spring I sleep", because that man promised her to come back every May (but he didn't), and May is in spring. She probably wants to forget that promise he made and, therefore, skips or sleeps during spring

I'm thinking now that she might be expressing her fear of change - spring is a time of renewal and change and often positively thought about but in the context of love and relationships, it's a super hard time

Now that the song has been out for a year and I’ve been able to really listen to it closely, I hear and really think it’s “most men don’t want a woman with a legacy - it’s her bane”!

yes those are the official lyrics in the BB liner notes! I never would’ve gotten that on my own so grateful it was one of the few songs whose lyrics were officially published. 
 

also since it hasn’t been posted here, Jenny Lewis tweeted “Jenny jumped into the pool,” officially confirming that she’s the Jenny in BB (I knew it!! She’s close w Nikki lane so I figured it was her, and am DYING to hear anything she and Lana did together).
