Um idk if I'm late and y'all already talked about this, but five days ago Jack made a post, and one of the photos was from the Vogue video. He said, and I quote: "chuck's lana doc so good. one day we make and release the other one of me being a terror. think there's footage from nfr and chem. definitely tunnel. calling chuck it must happen"  Chuck responded in the comments and said that is happening. So, this means, OTHER BTS VIDEO!! I guess from the latest album eras, I don't know how that's going to work. But I am excited to see what's in store.

If COVID hadn't happened, my own life would be much better, because I lost a great job here in NYC, which was devastated by the pandemic in 100 ways. And the wolf was right at my door: though there are only 9 apartments on my floor, two men in other apartments died of COVID, and an older friend whom I had known also died of it, very suddenly. COVID destroyed so much and so many. The government's fumbling and junk science didn't help. 

 

BUT if there was no COVID, we wouldn't have Violets For Roses, one of my all-time favorite Lana tracks. And Black Bathing Suit might not exist either, or might in a different form. 

 

I'm glad Lana responded to COVID in her own way and didn't ignore it.

So let me ask this: another member said yesterday that they hadn't seen a lot of dislike for Violets For Roses here on LanaBoards, and also for Arcadia, if to a lesser degree. Overall, Blue Banisters seems unpopular with the majority of members. Did I dream this?

It's probably because there were only 6 new songs by the time of its release (7 if you count Thunder bc of the new instrumental) and none were as revealing as Wildflower Wildfire or Blue Banisters

I never been the biggest fan of Chemtrails besides the title track and Yosemite. But now that it's getting colder, and the leaves are falling, and skies are brighter...I'm falling in love with Chemtrails. It's the perfect album for a walk tbh

So, strange parallel, but. I’ve been thinking how cool it kinda is, that I’m connecting this but. 
they used to have me sing as a front person in church. And I was kinda raised on hymns etc. 

 

but I just really love how Lana incorporates her religious background w her stuff from before, imagery lyrics and even sing styling infused. It kinda humanizes the experience for me strangely enough and I just really love and get inspired by that. Cus, being gay, and coming from that kind of background, it kinda feels like I’m not as alone when it comes to the realm of singing, and that I can reconcile both halves, when I just can’t relate to family’s pov’s sometimes. 
 

I’ve come to make my own kind of spiritual perspective that I like to think might be broader than the typical outlook. Cus maybe if the God of the bible can overlook those and forgive them in it, maybe the runt part of my soul might just be ok w that kind of level. Obviously the whole gay thing and the world of it but. 
Something I think about when I reconcile both halves in me or parts of me rather. 
 

Some songs just feel like home when I feel a bit too ostracized ir just can’t relate, despite wanting more of the traditional. It’s a nice portal to stay in sometimes.
