No, I’m in the studio every day, writing. There isn’t really a purpose just yet. Obviously I will be releasing something, but I’m not quite sure what. I’m not sure whether I believe in the album as a format for me personally anymore. I’m also back into writing for other people. I’ve been doing a lot of stuff for Alma, this Finnish artist.

 

She was writing constantly in early 2018. Some songs ended up as singles (5ITM, Focus) some as album tracks (1999, White Mercedes), some were considered to be released by herself but nothing happened (Would You), and some were recorded by other artists (Senorita, Someone New). I wish she put more songs from that time period on self titled 

Whew I didn't even know about this. This material is really good, wish she decided to revisit it for future projects but I think it's very unlikely.

I think her verse is pretty decent on Shake It but I wouldn't say the same about her verse on I Got It

I guess since this was right after XCX World she didn't know if she would be able to release an album in the next few years with Atlantic clearly not supporting her back then. It's only when 1999 popped off that they gave her the green light to release an album

not so homophobic to where she wouldn't serve with tracks 1-15 (track 16 is a slay too but she did that for herself) but homophobic enough to where she wouldn't release just one touch, sweat, eternal flame, on and on, etc....

the thing is that i'm not sure if a remix could top sweat (not necessarily that there's not room for improvement i just don't know if the remix would improve)
