I met @@charli_xcx recently, my name is madison (@dinahbgc) and this is my M&G story. I met her October 20th of this year and it was horrific. She was rude, not classy, and she lost a long time angel that day. I walked into the $350 M&G and said hello and she replied with "fat" and I shook it off because I thought maybe I had heard her wrong. As I approached her and asked her to do my pose she stared at me blank faced. I continued talking. "You saved my life" I say. "You're the reason I'm alive today." She looks me dead in the eye and says "you'll die soon enough, fatty," and then whispered "obesity." I started crying I had never felt pain like this and she started laughing and said "are you crying? Stop it. Stop it now." and she flicked my vagina. The photographer took the picture and I headed out of the M&G section and that's when Charli started speaking whale to me. I still can't believe this happened. I cried writing this. I wish this weren't true but Charli is in fact; a horrible person.

I have noticed a common trend - the newer pop girls tend to have incredibly messy eras. I wonder if it's to do with the fact that record labels are run by gen-Xers and baby boomers. Basically individuals who are completely out of touch with contemporary culture.

Labels are now forcing rap & urban music down gp's throat, rap music is cheaper and doesn't require much talent and there are billions of fucking rappers so it's easy money, they will ditch pop artists cause they are rare and talented and there are not too many out there

Pop stars are no longer commercially viable. As you've mentioned rap music is easier to mass produce. On top of that, they naturally fit into the current shift in the meta-trends. This has basically lead to a situation similar to the early nineties... A male dominated music market. Pop girls are doomed!

it's a fake demi lovato meet and greet twitter story, just search "delete it fat" on google images. I typed it out as a Charli M&G story bc it's an iconic piece of literature and it just felt right bc of all the fan meetups Charli's been doing!

We just hold the newer pop girls to a higher standard compared to someone like Britney Spears. Album leaks didn't exist back then because forums like LB didn't exist... and there wouldn't be a bunch of nasty gays gossiping about setlist changes etc. I doubt a millenial could manage Charli's career better than who is currently managing her--the new pop girls just face a lot of newer issues.

Pop girls aren't going anywhere, it's the pop girls that innovate that are doomed. A lot of the major pop girls don't come across as genuine at all. They seem like they only serve to cater to what's hot at the moment; and I get it, pop has to sell to be popular, but it's the artistry that's lacking. That's what frustrates me the most, because although Sucker wasn't that great of an album, it was still a reinvention of Charli's sound. A complete 180 and the other pop girls can't relate. While everyone else is waiting to jump on the new "it" sound and suck the life out of it, Charli's always experimenting, and her label just doesn't get it. Her talent is being wasted on trying to break through into commercial stardom with bland singles when she has so much more to offer and the reality is, most people don't have an ear for xcxcellent pop music. She has her niche and her label needs to let her flourish instead of holding her back.
