AKASAKA SAWAYAMA 7,885 Posted May 12, 2020 I vividly remember her saying she wanted to hear our beats, our lyrics, our melodies, our ideas, she wanted to see fans artwork etc. Now, I don't know whether this misinformation was intentional, to get fans on board - with the outcome always being her final say. Or whether the logistics of sampling and crediting fans became an issue with this being dropped by a major label. she did all of these though. she did not say she will use those. fans set up themselves for disappointment. she released the stems for fans to make remixes she livestreamed her writing process and asked fans their opinions she asked fans about which song should be released etc etc she wanted fans to choose the photos for artworks and shared the edits she liked so yeah just like i said, fans set up themselves for disappointment. but i'm not disappointed at all
ribbiexcx 1,694 Posted May 12, 2020 what's the point of her donating the money off the merch if nobody wants to buy it lol sorry

thearidrew 211 Posted May 12, 2020 3 days!!! I am so unbelievably excited for this. I will say that looking at some of the Twitter comments (and even some posts here) that some Angels stay doing the most with respect to their demands on Charli, despite the fact that she has consistently fed and connected to her fans more than 99% of other pop artists. TBH we are an extremely entitled and greedy fan base compared to many others and it's a wonder that Charli hasn't just hung it up at points given how some fans have reacted to and hounded her for one reason or another on social media. I have personally thoroughly enjoyed the HIFN online journey she has brought us on and really feel lucky that I stan an artist who craves creativity and loves sharing her craft with the fans. I have also really appreciated her vulnerability that she has let shine through during the process because that is such a risky thing to do in this era of social media/online standom. All said and done, I do think this album is going to be fantastic, but even if it isn't her best, what she has done for fans this era is just stunning.

White Dress 6,901 Posted May 12, 2020 I like the merch a lot and honestly I think it can sort of appeal to casual listeners, especially because of the charity initiative

Touch 3,817 Posted May 12, 2020 It's funny to me how some of you guys are complaining meanwhile would jump on zoom sessions to ask for utopic collabs and demos made 5 years ago. I've been in some of the zoom sessions and the comments is flooded with irrelevant shit, porn etc etc. I don't know what yall expected when she announced the project but she did what was promised. We should be grateful, she's the most lovely and accessible popstar out there. It's just ridiculous to keep complaining while this fan base is full of immature people that just can't accept that Charli is the only responsible to decisions regarding her career and that there's no point in releasing 5 year old rough demos illegaly obtained from her Google Drive.
Touch 3,817 Posted May 12, 2020 what's the point of her donating the money off the merch if nobody wants to buy it lol sorry We are living in a fucking pandemic, there's multiple people dying, losing their jobs and suffering. Charli is a nice human being and is using her art to help in some way. Logout and go read a newspaper or something.
Super Shy 385 Posted May 12, 2020 personally i’m not surprised she didn’t use fan’s beats, i didn’t really expect her to. if she had more time to make the album then maybe she would’ve made more songs and explored fan’s beats but with the deadline (which i’m assuming she might not have been allowed to push back) she was already stressed enough. hopefully once she gets back into making music after hifn she considers some of the stuff people sent her from this era because there might be some hidden gems there.
pure love 337 Posted May 12, 2020 imagine the mess using fanmade beats would cause with publishing/royalties (since it's probably gonna be an album not a free mixtape) and having to liaise with twitter gays for stems while trying to meet the deadline
