LP1 - FKA twigs 6. Broke with Expensive Taste - Azealia Banks 7. Are We There? - Sharon Van Etten 8. True - Solange 9. Born This Way - Lady Gaga 10. graham4anything 2,859 Posted November 21, 2015 Lana Del Rey- Born To Die/Paradise/Ultraviolence/Honeymoon - this would be the top 4 in no particular order. #5Soundtrack of Gatsby #6 Soundtrack Big Eyes #7-8-9 could be the older Lizzie, Lana Del Ray, May Jailer quite honestly, can't think of any other artist, male female or group where I have listened to more than one or two songs in that time period from except Pet Shop Boys and a couple of Brian Wilson solo records he has done in those years To be even more honest, can't think of any other female artist ever, except for Edith Piaf, Petula Clark, Kate Bush that I have listened to the entire album that wasn't a greatest hits (but keeping in mind I am normally a singles person, and also most artists (male/female/group) never release more than 1 or 2 songs in their entire career worth hearing, and normally it is the first one they release that is memorable). therein lies the difference. There is just no one else I would spend money on purchasing an album in any form from these days unless it's a gift for someone or there is one cut on it Lana related. Perhaps if the thread was best female artists or songs 2010-2015 (would include Lykke Li, Gaga, Lorde, Christina Parri 0 Quote Lana is our modern day Edith Piaf. Totally unique. a mixture of Brian WIlson Roy Orbison, Leonard Cohen, Gram Parsons, Elton & Bernie. Born to Die/Paradise is comparable to Elton's Captain Fantastic. All the records need to be listened whole. Waiting for a box set vinyl of all 400 songs not on any lp

annedauphine 35,853 Posted November 21, 2015 That's so hard for me, I'm realizing that apart from the big names I'm mostly listening to male artists, and mostly not pop, so I would say in no particular order: Lana Del Rey: Honeymoon, Ultraviolence, Sirens CocoRosie: Noah's ark, Adventures Of Ghosthorse And Stillborn, Heartache City, La Maison De Mon Rêve Lorde: Pure Heroine Marina And The Diamonds: Froot And that's basically all I really have zero culture. Actually I just saw only solo acts, so like only Lana Lorde and Marina. Smh
