So, you know your home-boy is the true raver of Lana Boards and I recently had my chance of introducing techno to fellow members and had mixed reactions, so I believe a thread for all those who respect the power that is techno was well deserved and hopefully will attract more fans in time. For those who don't know, techno is pretty much divided in Tech House, Techno, Deep House, etc. Share your favorite tracks, favorite raves you've been to or will be soon, and of course favorite DJs, Let me know and keep it alive.

Oh God, I love this song but I will never be able to listen to it again because even though it went out in 2005 (I'm so old gnh), in 2012 I went to revise my bac / French end of high school huge exam with my friends in a house alone by the seaside and it was incredible and some of the best moments of my life but also one of the girls was obsessed with this very particular song for no reason at all and played it 24/7 because it "helped her study" so now it's forever associated with math revisions in my mind

 

 

That was by faaaaar my favourite of her though. I was 13 when it got out, at the time it put me in such a transe, it felt like taking coke and watching porn haha good times

For lack of a better thread, but it's apparently hardcore techno, Cloud's Heavy The Eclipse is now available and it's one of the best records of the year. I fucking LIVE for music that's based around a universe. Best art direction I've EVER seen. David is a God. Parkzicht remains my fav

ive always had a problem getting into techno beause its sub genres all sound the same to me.. idk what is house or the diff between house and deep house (im) . The only thing ive been into heavily is Dubstep and Bass n Drum and im probably sure those two are not related to what this thread actually talks about

My first introduction ever to techno music was Traumer and his stuff is slower and more mellow and experimental, he plays with lots of interesting sounds and from there, the other techno tracks that I listen to are in the same vein. So I got a bit surprised to find out that actually techno music is mainly that really fast paced hard beat. 

I guess I'm actually listening to the slower, more alternative and underground side of techno which is 10 times more up my alley than the classic techno
