The Principal is just a terrible song. The rhyming thing is so tired after the first verse and while the chorus is a little bit better, its just so bad. Nothing can save those awful lyrics.

You can only rhyme one word so many ways. It's why I have to catch and stop myself sometimes in my writing to avoid things being too similar.

It's just the autotune and the repetitive beat... and that annoying chorus oh god. It's a bad song all around - nothing to do with it being from MM3. It's only redeeming quality is the lyrics ig

Cry Baby is one of the most elaborately produced & well written albums that I've ever listened to. It's crazy to still see artists trying to replicate her sound and style till this day.

The way even Melanie can't seem to live up to her old work. :/ Hopefully going back to Kinetics & One Love can give us at least some good stuff. I don't know how much longer I can take the bridgeless under 3 minute crap she's been releasing lately.
