LMDG would be just as big as any other summer hit if the radio wasn't such a shit fest. And it's better than Elly go with her gut and not compromise on what Ben wanted. If it was really meant to be a duo act then it would've stayed that way. National Anthem 9,904 Posted July 2, 2014 Okay confession time. I previewed the songs from Trouble In Paradise and I'm just pretty sure this isn't for me. I want to love it a whole lot because I love Ellie and her vocals are so great, but imo La Roux really lost its sparkle when Ben left. I just can't help but feel like this new production is superrrr bland and 80s inspired, but not even by like the good 80s stuff. Idk maybe I'm overreacting.
