I honestly think a lot of us had low expectations because it had so much buildup. So it's been a beautiful surprise to hear something charmingly bittersweet with gorgeous instrumentation. That and maybe a bit of recency bias? I wouldn't say that it's my favourite lead single of hers, but it's already found a small spot in my heart.

 

But I mean bottom line is it's okay if you aren't vibing with it. This is exactly how I felt when LMLYLAW dropped, so I really get it lol

No I already know I'm gonna love it a lot more than I already do. It's such a beautiful dawn moment to yourself moment all swooping and gently enchanting. The playful inflection towards the second part, and the twinkling yet weary production. the lyricism's just perfect and the song sounds and feels a lot clearer atmospherically
