I already love the song but I must try this. Do I keep the lights on or off?!! Dimmed?? Watching myself in the mirror?? -
It's only 500 dollars. They'd kill me if they had the chance anyway. Also, they'd get arrested if they tried to do anything! 500 dollars is worth protecting my emotions. I'd murder my best friend if he got with my ex. :* Good thing he doesn't like colored boys tho. You didn't answer my question!!

Body Electric will always be the worst. Gods & Monsters was so lacking in the bridge though, big disappointment there too. -

They're either deaf or ignorant. I'm STILL seeing people say "I hate the new Yayo because I prefer the old version," ugh omg that is the stupidest bullshit I've ever heard. So ignorant. That's like saying, "I don't like this pizza because the pizza I had last week tasted a bit better." -
You have really nice lips. I love big lips.

Show some money luv 'fo the KKK!! Would you rather fart uncontrollably every 2 hours for five minutes straight, or have a nosebleed every 2 hours for 3 minutes straight?

Past Lives is the best track, no competition. Other than that, I love C'mon, Supernatural, Only Wanna Dance With You. There are other good ones but they aren't memorable at all. Maybe they'll grow on me though. Warrior was good, but the chorus was lacking. Thinking of You was also good but it'll have to grow. I think Wherever You Are was also good. I can see myself growing to appreciate that one more. Edit: I'm actually listening to Wherever You Are again right now, and it's great. Added to the other three songs I initially named. Wonderful song.

No, but never mind. This is stupid as fuck and I'm only getting more irritated.

Nobody else said that and they carried on the conversation just fine. I'm not asking to be agreed with, I can't change your opinion on the matter. I'm just asking that when you, or anyone, disagrees with me, that they can do it without seeming to put my opinion down. No one else agreed with me but they didn't refute my opinion, either.
-
I didn't say anything of the sort. You can disagree without refutation.

That's my favorite Beach House song! I'm listening to Mother Stands for Comfort by Kate Bush.
-
Don't ask for my opinion if you're going to refute it. You don't have to apologize for disagreeing with me. Although for the sake of the entire argument, I am still convinced that the song is about some drug form of suicide. I'll just leave now.

After one listen, I'm disappointed overall with Warrior. I hope it grows on me. Some really great songs, hopefully the others will be growers. I am really not here for the annoying chorus to All That Matters (The Beautiful Life) though.

So what? Lana is better than them anyway. Why are you comparing them? This album had very little promo and it's beating Xtina on the charts, when Xtina is considered "the voice of a generation" and had a lot more promo for her album. I don't know, something about your post really just struck a nerve with me. Lana isn't as commercial as Perry/Gaga/Adele, so of course she isn't going to be in their "league" or whatever bullshit of sales. You're also not taking into account that Lana hasn't been famous as long as those women, so there's that too.

I just came back to this thread and it's really nice seeing that you guys wanted my input! I wasn't expecting that. Well, firstly, I don't like the album version of Jump because when compared to the demo, it's too poppy. I feel that the lyrics and the melody are much more suited for the darker/haunting tone that the demo gives off, how Monicker described it. That isn't there in the album version. Also, I hate that the guitar literally jumps from speaker to speaker in the album version, it is annoying and it takes away from the simple beauty of itself. In the demo, it's in both speakers and it's not jumping around, so it's a lot more calming and appreciable. Also, the AKA one has too much emphasis on the drums. I want more of the guitar, it makes the song. Her voice may seem more muffled or whatever in the demo, but that's why I like it. It fits the dark theme of the song. The album version sounds like a cheery song, too upbeat and poppy when it's really about drugs and suicide. It's not fitting at all. The demo is more refined and alluring. I feel like I'm talking in circles so I'm just gonna stop now. Edit: Sitar, after posting this I scrolled back up and read your initial comment. "her muffled vocals in the demo don't fit the spirit of the song." uh... SPIRIT OF THE SONG? IT'S ABOUT SUICIDE AND HEROIN. DO YOU REALLY THINK THE SPIRIT OF THOSE THINGS ARE HAPPY AND CHEERY? WRONG.

Minor General Questions that Don't Deserve Their Own Thread
Hundred Dollar Bill replied to Monicker's topic in Lana Thoughts
Because when the album was being sold digitally, they used the front cover image with which we are all familiar. I didn't say I considered it proof though, that the colors not matching means it's fake, I don't think anyone did? Too lazy to scroll up and look. -

In some pictures they look like decently sized B's. At least she got dat ass to make up for it. Bobby Womack. The Bravest Man In the Universe. Which Lana song has the most BPM? The least?
-
That's a really vague question. New York, in that song-writing contest. What's her bra size?

If this is the front cover, Why would this be the back cover? I'm not saying it's not possible, it just doesn't seem right. The colors don't go together.
