I just don't understand why they keep recycling old shoots?

Hey there! I just started doing covers for Lana’s songs and I really got hooked on it! Firstly I only made them for myself but now I also want to share them with you so I don’t have the feeling that I did them totally in vain.
I know these aren’t the best but I’ll keep on practicing. So be prepared for more!

Well, I don't know if I have written this before, but I totally had a dream about her releasing a perfume. It was called dreamland... o_0

A really dull and uninspired shoot tbh.

I feel like this could well be the longest reply I have ever written because there are so many Lana things I love in so many of her songs.
 
- I love pretty much every single lyrics in 'Pawn Shop Blues', but especially the line; In the name of higher consciousness, I let the best man I knew go. It's my favourite song, the tone and the lyrics just match so well, and I must have listened to it a thousand times when I broke up with my boyfriend. 
- I love the way she sings 'Think I'll miss you forever' is Summertime Sadness
- The little laugh in Motel 6 when she says 'Baby you can buy me Diet Mountain Dew and we'll get right down to it, me and you'
- The beginning of Dark Paradise; All my friends tell me I should move on, I'm lying in the ocean singing your song.
- Body Electric gives me shivers. I don't know what about it does, but it just does.
- For K makes me want to cry. It's beautiful and sad and I can't control my emotions when I listen to it. Especially the lyrics 'Is this what you wished? Did you wanna die?'
- The lyrics I know I wanted all this in the beginning, I really tried, I know I caught you at a not so happy time of your life in Junky Pride.
- The 'ray-ray's' in Raise Me Up, especially those at the end. 
- The feel of 'Trash Magic'. I don't know how else to explain it. Just the quiet, haunting, simplicity of it. 
- Video Games. It took me quite a long time to like this song, but now I adore it. I love her ability to turn the simple action of playing video games with someone you love into a song.
- Yayo. That song just defeats me. Hello heaven, you are a tunnel lined with yellow lights on a dark night. 

The intro of million dollar man:

The scarlet starlet in off to the races - I just love the way her voice pitch at the top.
 
"Kissing my fruit punch lips in the bright sunshine" in Lolita.
 
Her breathy voice in American "Like an American".
 
I absolutely love the "only seventeen, but she walks the street so mean" in Carmen.
 
Mmm... and the southern drawl in the "kitty cat" part of Queen of the Gas Station.
 
The "a sway of the hips" part in oh say can you see absolutely slays me every goddamn time

Girls, she's just like us when it all comes down to it - we like to look pretty and done up, but sometimes we throw on sweats and walk out of the door with minimal to no makeup on just because we feel crappy or just don't give a flying fuck. Honestly, if she were a dude you wouldn't care about her appearence at all, but nooo... Lana has to look perfect all the time. It's not fair   I like her casual to almost shabby look, it makes her relatable and human.

I love her vintage looking t shirts. Looks like she went trough some older guys closet to find his old band t shirts from the 70's.

Rings! Oh the rings...
 
We have that beautiful emerald (?) ring that's practically glued to her hand in many videos and pictures. Is it a good luck charm or did she get it from someone significant? It looks classy and kinda old. Not something you see these days... Maybe a hand me down from gramma? Seen in burning desire and national anthem.
 
And then the  statement rhinestone ring that follows us trough summertime sadness, Carmen, first blue jeans video and video games. It was also in a vogue shoot. It was most likely also on her on the born to die cover   
I also noticed a smaller version featured in National Anthem and blue jeans. And the national anthem demo, which I looked for on purpose. Damn the shitty quality on that movie... I can't tell if it's the big or the small ring, but I just added it to occupy space.


    
Then... The BAD ring. I love that ring. It's so tacky. Accompanied by her heart shaped sunglasses   I think it was in an old music video, forgot about which though.
