I agree that Joanne wasn't well received with the critics, it really did impact pop culture by a bunch of pop icons making their next album sound like Joanne for example Kesha, Miley Cyrus, Harry Styles, Justin Timberlake etc. And I think the critics might've changed their mind after seeing the halftime performance and the documentary. I still think the award's gonna go to ed sheerans album because even tho they claim not to, they always give awards to the most popular nominee. Idk what y'all mean, this album has elements from most of her albums and has her signature sound all over it. - cherry's melody and instrumental has vibes of UV and would fit perfectly as a track on the album if it didn't have the beats. - groupie love and Love (other than the lyrics of Love) sound like they came straight out of paradise. - the melody of GBA sounds like it came out of honeymoon, BPBP, TNC, heroin and get free also sound like they came straight from honeymoon. The only songs that I feel have lacking melodies might be in my feelings and white mustang. This album does have some new elements too like the production elements and the perspective of lyrics on songs like love, WTW, GBA but I feel like these are all good changes.

Only part of the verses are a bit similar, and the most important part of the song which is the chorus, the melody of that is completely different. in the parts that get free sounds a bit like creep the melody isn't what makes it the best, it's the lush backing vocals and instrumental and besides there are differences in those too. Have you seen how songs like thinking out loud or shape of your have a copied melody? This isn't really like that... what makes the song the best is the chorus which again is completely different from creep

We know she had to do it to em, but she didn't really do anything because she didn't even have a verse and the chorus and verses don't go together

I feel like the singles of this album had the potential to be iconic hits, if they played on the radio. My friends who have basic music tastes (only listen to popular rap songs and some pop songs) really liked Love and Lust for Life. I roughly remember Love was about to get a radio deal in like April or sometime around that and then it got cancelled. I always wonder what happened to that, because both Love and especially Lust for Life seem like they were being pushed to be hits by getting expensive videos, Love's snapchat filter, and the remake of lust for life with the help of Max Martin. All they needed were a few televised performances (which we already were never going to happen because it seems like Lana hates those), and radio deals, which is something Love almost got.
