The album is growing on me, I sing-a-long to the tracks of course. But I don't find the lyrics anything great either. I feel like such a party pooper since other people say, "The album is perfect" "The album is amazing" etc. But I think it's a somewhat-weak album. Cola I love, but the vocals sound odd, it sounds like they were recorded in her bathroom on garageband. Gods & Monsters had a lot of potential until basically a minute in, then it became such a mess in my opinion. It built up to nothing, and as it went on and on the lyrics became lazier and more forced in my opinion. American, I'd excuse the simple lyrics if the song was catchy, but it isn't for me, at all. I think the problem with a lot of the songs on the album is they seem to forced to me. I love the instrumental for American though, it's really lovely. Yayo is good. Yayo is a strong song overall, no matter which version you listen to. I've never been a fan of Ride either. I love that recent live performance she did of it though. Overall, It's certainly not a favorite album of mine out of Lana's work. I really hope this doesn't foreshadow Lana's future work. I really hope her next album will be more like BTD or AKA. Of course other people will have different views, and that's their views - everybody's tastes differ - this album though is not the cherry on top of Born to Die sundae in my opinion, or the whipped cream, or the sprinkles.

(Now when I go to sleep tonight I will fear my blanket will be hiding a bed full of rats... ) WYR be able to listen to all of Lana's unreleased tracks (even ones that have not leaked yet) and never listen to BTD, AKA, Sirens, and Paradise again, or never be able to listen to all of Lana's unreleased tracks and still be able to listen to BTD, AKA, Sirens, and Paradise.

I don't like that "Shine Bright Like a Diamond" song or whatever it's called. I heard it on the radio a few times and I thought her vocals were pretty bad.

I am not a fan of people who make a big deal about losing a category. It was obvious Lana would lose to One Direction and Carly Rae Jepsen, we're talking about MTV here. It's a shame people have to be so bitter about losing a category. But I don't agree w/ your comments on Florence regarding only being nominated in two categories. The MTV EMAs/VMAs are irrelevant to music since it's a popularity contest, not a measure of one's talent. Am I proud of Lana? Yes. But is it really a glorious moment for Lana's career, or anybody's career who had won? No.

Eat someone's shit tbh. WYR burn alive or fall down a really long concrete set of stairs and keep hitting your head every step and then fall on a set of nails once you reach the end.

Taylor Swift any day any time over Justin tbh. WYR be the other woman/man or be the woman/man cheated on?

The blonde is my favorite color of hers. There's this gif of her with blonde hair, I can't remember where I saw it from, but it's absolutely beautiful and classic. Ugh, I wish I could find the gif, but I can't.

48 Hours: What was that one line in Paradise? I heard supersonic down, and then she starts singing "down, down..." Or pow, like MissDaytona said? I heard it definitely end with a W not an t or d. But I guess I must be somewhat deaf since everyone has variations of pot, rod, etc. You can ride my hot supersonic pow maybe?

The iTunes audio of Ride I have is so bad... BTW, what's up with that low quality voice in the bridge of Cola? (I think it's called the bridge? The verse right before the chorus? Lana says "All he wants to do is party with his pretty baby", then she says something but the voice is really loud and LQ)

I don't know. Let's take a look at some of the 2011 Grammy nominees; Nicki Minaj, Katy Perry, Skrillex, Bruno Mars, Rihanna, P!nk, Maroon 5 & Christina Aguilera, Cee Lo Green, Lady Gaga, David Guetta, Foster the People, Chris Brown, Wiz Khalifa, Beyonce, Lil Wayne, Taylor Swift, etc. And many more musicians. There's tons of categories on this list. So the gist is I think it's possible she'll get nominated for something but winning? Who knows.
