that was an unofficial announcement because we also got an unofficial date, we got the music video teaser in december 2020 and then in january we got the official announcement with the preorder and everything else all at once

THIS JUST IN: Lana Del Rey’s new album I’m so random is out January 6th 2023, and the lead single “Stars align” is out Friday!

i’m notttt super sure about this because I think it’s possibility that Fingertips and the Plastic Bag song are the same song, and we know that the Plastic Bag song is the opening track

also BOZ said that the album was recorded late 2021-early/mid this year which is interesting because i don’t think she’s made an album in such a short amount of time since Honeymoon. LFL was recorded over the course of almost 2 years, NFR took almost 2 years as well, and it seems like Chemtrails + BB were both recorded simultaneously over about a 2 year timeline too. excited to hear this album because all of the Dan tracks on UV were made over the course of 6 weeks, she works very well when she works quickly besides Coachella and In My Feelings

UV, NFR, and BTD are my current top 3 released albums as well and i also did not enjoy BB so it seems like we have similar taste and this is very good news to me

i’ve said this before but i really hope there are no singles i want to experience the whole album for the first time as one body of work and i know i won’t be able to hold off listening to the singles if they do drop. i would be satisfied with an announcement and preorder this week, maybe even an album trailer with snippets of a few songs absolute best case scenario, and then album next month. although i do think that if the record is due in february or later the wait without a single will start to get very painful
