    M.I.A.

M.I.A. posted a picture of the tracklist on her twitter yesterday. It varies from the one that was officially sent out by Interscope Records through the mailing list. The difference is that "Exodus" has been replaced with "Sexodus", thus eliminating Sexodus as the fifteenth track. [Source]

The following can be added to the bunch: I'm Bad, Unbreak My Mixtape, Zig Zag and Baby (Demo for Madonna).

We're getting closer and closer to the release date! The song I'm most excited to hear is probably Sexodus. I hope it turns out as good as I hope it is, but it's hard to tell when all we have is a shitty live recording. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=age30P8Q0Fw

    ....

Look on the bright side, homeboy! You're LanaBoards famous now, you've managed to score 59 profile views with one single post. That's both sad.... and impressive! By the way, if your avatar is a picture of yourself I suggest you post it in the Pictures Of You-thread, it appears that Mrs. Del Rey has scored herself a nice looking fanbase and I'm sure you'd be a pretty addition to it. Go post a picture, I know you can do it, I believe in you! I also suggest that you create a thread in the Welcomes and introductions section, it seems to keep the vultures off, at least for a while. Enjoy your stay! Edit: What does Hovag stand for? Urbandictionary says it means: "a person who acts in a manner in such a way that people view them as being a whores vagina".

    Jealous Girl

My amazing transcribing skills tells me that she sings: "If I can't have YOUR baby", either that or my brain is completely incapable of hearing it as anything else.. Hmm.
  6. The kind of member that offers oral sex for unreleased songs.

  8. I'm really disappointed in her live interpretations of Ride. When I first heard the studio version of Ride I was sure that she would be able to pull it off, mainly because the vocals are more raw than any of her previously released material. The first times she performed the song on the radio, she managed to perform it quite well, but this performance in particular might just show that nerves are still getting to her once performing on television.
  9. WHAT. ಠ_ಠ It's not even 'Celebrity of The Year' it's CELEB of the Year. What kind of phony ballony pop culture title is that anyways. *facepalm a thousands*
  10. Well, ugh... why are they trying to sell her music as cleaning supplies?

    No Doubt

I've never been a fan of No Doubt, but there was just something to it when I heard they were going to make a comeback. So I put the new album on my wishlist for my birthday, got three copies, returned two, and listened to the last one. As a whole, it's a decent album that tends to hit the same notes so to speak. The tracks that I think stand out are Undercover, Push and Shove, Heaven and Easy. There's no doubt (no pun intended) that people who liked them back in the day will find pleasure in listening to their new album. If I should highlight an old favorite it would be Hella Good. It's a violent track. I like it.
  12. I agree. It does appear rather boring when performed live. I can't blame her in this performance though, I don't think there's a true artist out there who would enjoy performing to a backing track with a fake band.
  13. There are various reasons I prefer Lana Del Rey's version of the song over Cheryl's: One of them being that Cheryl's voice is pretty unidimensional. It doesn't seem that there's a lot of action going on, vocally.
  14. WHATS- Edit: Actually not such a bad idea. I didn't know that coconut oil could be so useful! I remember seeing it on sale nearby so that means SHOPPING TIME. Oh, Monicker you! You so smart, you so clever.
  15. Thank you Chloe! That has been corrected.
  16. On October 24th Lana Del Rey did an 'twitter correspondance' with ElleUK. The interview went up to a total of 10 questions containing little to no new information, thus taking the lead as the most pointless interview to have ever existed in the world of Lana Del Rey. Question: Who is your favourite fashion icon? Answer: “I love Lauren Bacall. I'm also inspired by Natasja Kinski and Natalie Wood.” Question: Who are the top 5 most important people in your life? (no need to have an order) Answer: “My dear friends Wendy and Jane, my boyfriend Barrie, and my managers Ben and Ed.” Question: Do you have any weird pre-show rituals? Answer: “Me and the band always say a prayer before we go on stage. Other than that anything goes.” Question: What is your favourite old movie? Answer: “The Big Sleep is my favourite.” Question: What do you think is more important - lyrics or melody? Answer: “The most important thing is tone and quality of a voice. Writing is my passion, but melodies are what you notice first.” Question: Where do you feel most at home? Answer: “I feel at home wherever I lay my head, I'm in a different place every day but I love being with my boyfriend.” Question: How does it feel to have a Mulberry bag named after you? Answer: “It's wonderful to be involved with a brand with so much class and integrity like Mulberry.” Question: Will you be present at the 2012 EMAs? Answer: “I dont know yet xx -----.“ Question: There’s a rumour that you’re retiring. Please say this isn’t true! Answer: “I'm writing soundtracks for some beautiful movies and that's what i always wanted to do so it will all work out!” Question: What is your favourite Mulberry Del Rey? Answer: “My favourite Mulberry Del Rey bag is the ink blue sparkle crocodile print.”
  17. According to this news post on the german univerval-music webpage, Lana Del Rey will be performing her latest single 'Ride' live on the german television show 'Schlag den Raab'. The performance will be broadcasted on the german television network ProSieben, on November the 17th, a day after the release of Born To Die: Paradise Edition in germany.
  18. Wouldn't it be much more convenient to host a Reydio show premiering the album? I'm sure it's not as easy as it's written and there could be legal issues related to it. However, I think that it would make for a much better listening party rather than everyone listening to the album seperately.
  19. I don't care what gender you are, but you've got MASSIVE balls.
  20. DAT COVER. If she really looked like that her Born To Die cover would look something like this:
  21. Lisa D'Amato & Geoci - WLCM 2LA: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5XZuAYNSbK0&feature=plcp A song that will make every person dancing odd feel at home!
  22. This. Honestly. That song... It's so annoyingly cheerful that I can't help but wanting to skip, whistle and say: "HELLO!" to everyone. I'm not even that kind of person, but I guess that is what the song does to me. *whistle whistle whistle whistle whistle whistle whistle whistle whistle whistle whistle whistle whistle whistle whistle whistle whistle whistle jizzle whistle whistle whistle whistle whistle whistle whistle whistle whistle whistle whistle *
