it just didn’t hit for me i appreciated the themes of the album and thought it was quite interesting how mitski delved into her turbulent relationship with fame and her disconnect and burnout with her career but her approach to synthpop just didn’t quite work for me. i’ll give it another listen though!

if she were to go country i hope it would be more of a first aid kit type of sound. but what i’m really hoping for is a noise rock album like a sonic youth type of sound. or even just rockish like pj harvey. psychedelic could be cool too like fishmans. also bring back the world building, i would die for another honeymoon esque vanity project album

excited for this! hopefully this album will be better than the disappointment that was laurel hell. maybe she can even top puberty 2
