  1. I think this era is going to be like HM - pretty low-key, not much promotion, not much news/interviews at all.

HBTB was released almost a month before HM was released, so I'm thinking it'll be the same for COCC. I'm not expecting anything until late July at the earliest, or early-mid August. As much as I love it when we get interviews and lots of news, I kinda like quiet eras. They feel so much more intimate :flutter:

  2. Okay well I love Marina with all my heart, but that mental illness tweet hurt...

I get where she is coming from - that to behave in a way like these awful cops did with George Floyd and countless others, you cannot be right in the head. However, not being right in the head does not equate to mental illness. And making a sweeping generalisation about all cops not being right in the head, in my opinion, is not fair. Yes, many many cops are racist and power hungry, but there will also be cops who are not like that and do the job they do because they want to help and protect the public.

Love u Marina but pls clarify what you meant by that (i.e. say you used the wrong wording)

On a more positive note, I am glad to see how much she is using her platform to promote justice for George and BLM.

  3. So idk if y'all have seen the rumours but there are two going round...

    1) Marina will be a judge on X Factor UK in 2021. There's a short clip of an interview going round with James Blunt (another judge rumoured to be on the panel) and the interviewer mentions Marina. Link: https://www.instagram.com/p/B_92CAEHUTM/

    2) Marina will appear in Katy Perry's upcoming music video alongside other female musicians. I tried to find the source but it's gone, so I'm thinking it's fake.

  4. Hey guys, I was looking for a vinyl copy of Froot but it seems like it's sold out everywhere except for Barnes&Noble (which won't dispatch to the UK).. if any one of you guys in the E.U. was thinking of selling an extra copy or something please send me a message x

Have a look on depop - pretty sure I saw a couple of copies there a few days ago :)

  5. I love L+F but this is a DREAM COME TRUE :defeated: all her best songs are ones she has written herself and FROOT is her best album (i said what i said) and this is what i needed today AHHHHH MELTDOWN INCOMING

    :defeated: :defeated: :defeated:

  6. omg..... you guys seriously cannot be pleased. IT'S A SONG FOR A SOUNDTRACK FOR A TEEN MOVIE IT'S NOT SUPPOSED TO BE A GROUNDBREAKING LEAD SINGLE OR ANYTHING. Just learn to enjoy songs for what they are

    RT

Seriously tho, although About Love isn't amazing, I still love L+F and wouldn't change it. HH, TBH, and EM are some of my all time favourite Marina songs. And I love the whole concept of L+F - imo it's about coming out the other side of a long period of mental health difficulties and celebrating that, and the more simplistic sound fits with this.

  7. This store is not working for quite some time. I think the EP is not available atm, but Rina said on ig they'll release a new press through Dirty Hit, so I guess that'll be after the album is out.

    Ahh okay, thank you!! :)

    112. "Some Things Last a Long Time" (2015)
This beautiful acoustic cover for the Hi How Are You Daniel Johnston soundtrack is a hidden gem in her discography that, sadly, only a few appreciate.

    109. "Raise Me Up (Mississippi South)" (2010)
One of her rockiest songs ever. When will Ultraviolence!

    106. "Tomorrow Never Came" (with Sean Onno Lennon) (2017)
Hated at first and slightly appreciated now, this is without a doubt one her most polarizing tracks. Folk!

    100. "Driving In Cars With Boys" (2010)
One of the best Born to Die unreleased songs. Even if it didn't make the tracklist, it is still one of the songs that helped craft the Lanaverse.

    99. "How to disappear" (2019)
Not at all surprised this is now officially the worst song on Norman Fucking Rockwell! -- However, the album is so good even its poorest deep cut made the Top 100. Suffer, MXDH!

    97. "I Can Fly" (2014)
Obviously the lesser of the two Big Eyes soundtracks.

    92. "Life Is Beautiful" (2015)
The power that that has to even be here.

    58. "Queen of the Gas Station" (2010)
This Lana Del Ray track is the epitome of the Lizzy Grant aesthetic.

    52. "Mermaid Motel" (2010)
I think we can agree that Lana Del Ray was her most experimental, edgy album production-wise.

Why aren't these higher up?? Peopleeee these are MASTERPIECES  :defeated:
