Idk, i just feel like she's more about the music in comparison to a lot of other people and at the end of the day that's the only thing that matters. So if she continues to release an album every year, one or two videos--i'm fine with that. it's what she wants.

Everyone wants Lana to do shit she doesn't want to do and after the fluke of becoming a huge pop star she eventually just wanted to stay home and away from the spotlight and make music for herself rather than being up her fans ass trying to please them at every turn. Her career (after BTD) seems to be 100% on her terms artistically. Maybe you guys got tricked into thinking that sales/success was her main goal?

Artistically, I don't think she's declining. She's exploring different sounds with each album, so it might be hard to take if you're super attached to a sound from one specific era of hers. You have BTD stans who keep waiting for her to return to that style of music, UV stans who wanted her to continue that way, meanwhile Lana just wants to make songs with whatever sound she finds interesting at the time.
 
There's no denying that budget-wise things aren't as great as they were in the BTD days when she was putting out masterpieces like the Ride video. But I think this is a result of a business situation rather than because Lana is starting to suck.

the album is flawless minus the unnecessary collaborations--not that they're bad or anything. It just seemed like he could hold the songs on his own. My fav track is Cool and DKLA

You don't deserve more or less credit than any other artist. You convey yourself as a distinguished, struggling artist who writes everything from the heart and soul when you talk about your artistry, but carry yourself as just a "random person on the Internet" when it comes to dealing with criticism. Once you release something and expect people to watch it, you're no longer exempt from criticism. And considering your reaction, criticism isn't something that you seem to handle well.

No, I'm not out to protect princess Halsey from the big bad monsters that are the Internet and Lana Boards. But by definition, irony is "a state of affairs or an event that seems deliberately contrary to what one expects and is often amusing as a result." I just thought that your comments about Halsey mimicking Lana's style seemed ironic considering your own musical style rips every page out of Lana's playbook, too. I would expect the pot who "stole" the same exact imagery/Tumblr aesthetic lyricism/sound wouldn't call the kettle black. There's nothing wrong with being an artist that is clearly a product of a post-Lana Del Rey world, but don't try to discount artists that you share a market with.
 
Trash Magic's comment also gave me a laugh, given his crude history of going into threads and commenting "trash" or some other catty comment like a good little stan does. But once the comments change aim from established pop artists to homemade producers, suddenly identical comments made to both parties are unacceptable only towards the kid who makes music from his bedroom? in all honesty i think musicians are slowly starting not to care about the sales aspect of the industry and focus on the actual music! i don't blame them. i mean that's the way it should be. why do fans care so much? Lana genuinely cares about music...and release pretty often in comparison to a lot of artist.

And why would you not be able to stan for an artist that is not in the public eye? you should be stanning for music in the first place the others are just superficial shit that comes with the stupid era we live in, and thats coming from a person who likes charts and shit like that but i know that is stupid and it really doesnt matter.
