On the subject of charli live- she’s a great performer- very interactive and lots of movement and crowd hyping but she wasn’t singing much on the crash tour. By that I mean you could barely tell with the backing track and correction on what was a live vocal and what was synced up in harmony so it’s basically the studio karaoke track. Had a good overall time though and it wasn’t that expensive

She’s always had different labels for the UK and US confusingly- polydor is a UMG label so she never truly switched- with interscope and the US though idk. Exactly tik tok is counted as streams which is getting these songs into the charts not necessarily people actually buying or streaming them…..yet they won’t classify themselves as a music listening platform

Comparatively to actual streaming platforms- they don’t pay the artist nigh anything per stream even though it is a big platform for music consumption now so UMG are arguing their payouts should be equivalent to Spotify( which barely pays as it is).

I think they’re pretty much neck and neck but debuts singles are definitely more remembered- n1 crush( kept off the album initially because of some nutty lady who thought it would inspire copycat crime ) only happy when it rains and stupid girl are all their classics objectively- whereas 2.0 has I think I’m paranoid and push it which are kinda remembered. So I think you could make a fair case that they are remembered for their debut despite other albums having success overall. just looked and garbage sold more than 2.0 based on certifications it seems.
