I’ve listened to vinyl rips before-there are proper ways to rip them like cds vinyls are flac and usually better quality

You would in the UK- synthy music like that is all over every H&M here with the hushed singing The little sparkles sounds too

I have no problem with unconventional structuring I must say- I love NIN, Sneaker Pimps, Charli etc but even though A&W gave me baby NIN which is a direction I even said would be interesting prior…. The track just didn’t blend well to me- what significance did jimmy jimmy co co puff have?

I found this take interesting considering what I wrote earlier about it sounding like H&M 💀- I fear this album is too unique and textured for some of you Ava Max’d and Selena’d H&M dressing room f words. Miley went in with no intention to follow trends (besides on Floppers) but she really sunk her teeth in on this project

The only thing I detest is the fact that she use YouTube to mp3 converter-despicable behaviour

It’s messy but it’s cute to me- Arcadia is gorgeous vocally and the rest have some very good writing bar some moments which I’ll admit are clunky for her especially.

American, Bel Air and most of NFR and Chemtrails are the true fillers for me

I think it’s the loud hey screaming+ the dozens of drum tracks, strings etc on the song for some-it’s a lot!

It’s interesting that the songs everyone is debating over- I very much like Tulsa Jesus freak is likewise one of the better songs on Chemtrails for me. though I will admit Lolita is a sonic mess for me- I always use the guitar demo-still a cute bop though.

Dealer and dark but just a game belonged on a trip hop album together and I will not be convinced otherwise

This is the first time I will very much disagree with a negative take- Dealer was one of the best songs on that album to me

Anyway with random indirects out the way- what are we thinking in regards to a tour for this album? Would she tour with the lyrical comment seemingly being personal? Who knows

I’ll check out her new release when it comes- I still feel she could make an album that I might think is great someday

Ah that makes sense- I could hear similarities but couldn’t define exactly how but it just sounds like one of his with the song structures etc

God imagine fans having differing opinions to other fans!- not everything has to be overt praise of an artist and this is the problem because critique is okay- nobody is personally bashing lana and calling her talentless etc.

They’re not wrong- people were too keen to put myself and others to the Guillotine when we stated she’s outright mumbling in A&W but then others backed this up by telling us their relatives were singing completely different lyrics

The reason why miley hasn’t had a singular good album yet is because nobody has gotten her personality yet! If you look at her interviews she has opinions but where are they in the music? Instead she’s regulated to generic breakup songs and I’m so high over and over. She needs someone to transcribe her thoughts into songs and to experiment with her voice and production to create her own sound- I think she’d kill a drum driven jazz rock track with scat singing or smth. Songs like Pablow the Blowfish are a good example of actually utilising her

Overall, it’s an okay album but not great- I suspect it will serve its purpose- tik tok virality on “Muddy Feet” aswell as some of the others. The rest can be shipped to the H&M fitting room and I mean that in the nicest way possible- it’s essentially very nice background music.
