I was just really disappointed when I heard rolling stone, especially when it was ranked one of the greatest lyrical songs of all time- his writing doesn’t seem bad to me obviously but there’s nothing there that adds that personal touch- I get generalised songs were a thing from that era specifically but listening to something like Chelsea hotel feels a lot more powerful to me.
