Pop 2 has some great work like track 10 but mostly hurts my ears with the extensive tune. Charli’s songwriting peak melodically and lyrically was prior to the Vroom Vroom ep(some of the tracks on N1 were concepts prior). Vroom Vroom is a great track but should have stayed a fan gem and not her most known “ fan” song-it just doesn’t work because it’s a kitschy hit but not her best.

The fact his career skyrocketed after saying the N word is crazy, top 10s hit in the US consistently when before they were unknown- it reeked of the best media campaign in country music tbh- nobody could have been so lucky. I hope Lana does not record any collabs, not out of dislike for Wallen as a person but what he represents to country music and Americans which lead to his success

I really like Lana but she’s acting like a very unlikeable person lately/her support for Morgan Wallen(perhaps not racist but atleast ignorant) last night was the breaking point for me- she’s constantly acting karenish on social media and Glastonbury should axe her from their set for her rudeness. It just looks bad because him essentially saying the N word brought him fans, no matter his intention the effect cannot be anything other than his fanbase being racist enablers.

You have to look at the full picture- saying things like my boyfriends are “rappers” in response to accusations of racism is at worst ignorant and at best misguided deflection from any personal growth. you can’t say sh*t like this and then “I screamed for them” aswell as the mentioned lyrics on the new leaked album- fans wishing she had more guidance in regards to this isn’t fansplaining or hate mongering.

Not really-people always bring up the gender debate and it may have been valid 10 years ago or so but she is a singer songwriter in the traditional mold so she can expect to have her lyrics analysed and critiqued

Honestly I hope some of the lyricism does get panned- she needs a wake-up call that some of her projects should be worked on more critically in regards to writing and this trend started with the over praising of the “f*cked me so good lyric”. The Lanita line in particular is just cringe-everyone in her camp are yes men.

She’s never going to get a low scoring album again, I don’t know what some of you are on 🤷‍♀️ she could release an album of her smoking a bong while ad-libbing and it would get a 7 at this point- the media have gone in the opposite direction critically
