Well I'm an adult and all of my friends who like Lana are adults and to none of us her music is a "guilty pleasure". She's "just" a great musician with an unique style.

The video has been shot. The part used in the LFL is just a Slowened part of probably the full music video, the Weeknd has posted a few behind the scenes selfies from the set and the single cover is probably probably also from the set

Caroline Polachek: If you mean pop star in the sense of playing ball with radio formats, no. But if you mean it in the sense of building a compelling world that I’m at the center of, that a lot of people are tuned into, then yes. Radio is so cutthroat, but I do feel like the music industry is structured so differently than it used to be. I’m amazed and in awe of artists who can build a parallel universe that’s so big and clearly defined that the mainstream finally has to pay attention. Lana Del Rey is a perfect example.

Knowing Lana, it has to. Even with the big smile on the cover. She will always have that dark side.

This is so true tho... People don't understand that a lot of the pop girls today are only super popular because they're super manufactured! In my opinion, the reason BTD was such a successful era is because her label was trying to make Lana into more of an image she wasn't. A lot of the radio artists today have songs produced by producers their label sets them up with, sings songs that their label has written for them, promote their albums and singles for them by having radio deals, etc. They do this with all the pop stars. I'd would soo much rather a genuine discography than radio hits.

Lana ain't a flop. If the pop girlies did what she did (didn't promote music, wrote all of it, & made alternative music) none of them would succeed and that's the tea! 
 

Her albums have always charted at #1 and #2 in the US. I think that is a massive commercial success, right? She is an album artist, not a singles artist.

After listening to the song almost 20 times yesterday evening and going to bed and sleep for a few hours I just started listening again – and now I REALLY like the song. The chorus is still kind of meh to me but the production and the wall of sound and the harmonies are great. And since the rest of the album will definitely be different from this song I'm havong high hopes for the album now.

For me it's BTD > Ultraviolence > LFL > Honeymoon (just regarding the title tracks, not the albums!)
