Neal needs to listen to this song, or more importantly needs to get a hand on the song, which is where..?

Wow, this has got to be one of her best, if not the best live performance she's done. I am really impressed.
Lana, please tho, we need a new setlist. I think we deserve one by now. Sing Cola and Gods & Monsters.

Edit: I'm now on MDM, and with every live performance I hear of it, the more I wish she didn't hold back so much with the vocals in the studio version. I love it when she hits those crazy notes in the chorus.

It lasted only 40 min, she could have add some spice by singing a new song: Ride, Burning Desire or just Diet Mtn Dew or Off to the Races.
I don't know if it's because I only slept 4 hours last night, but Lana really did good this time. Her voice was so emotional, my heart skipped a few beats. Her technique has improved, she took her time, did't rush the songs. And the live version are so beautiful, feels like listening to them for the first time. I'm overly happy she did good, she should sing in sweater and jeans more often. Love Lana.

I finally figured out what Ride reminds me of!! You know this song during major sport events, where they show people in slow motion doing incredible things (and incredible faces), pushed on their very limits, sweating and crying because they made it.
Change the lyrics a little and there you go, the next Olympic Games song.

I can't wait until Pussy leaks in full. ha ha ha That image on Tumblr is hilarious.

Can Lana's next album be called "Songs to kill yourself to." Everything is just too gorgeous.. and depressing. Just this morning I was driving to work with Blue Velvet blasting and I honestly thought, "oh this is so beautiful.. I could crash right now and not even care. Heaven!"

Could it be full-time instead of photon?

You don't understand the amount of lives I'd sacrifice to have it right now.

I wrote up some lyrics -

    "Ride"
I've been out on that open road
You can be my photon, daddy, white and gold
Singing blues has been getting old
You can be my photon, baby, hot and cold

    "Cola"
My pussy tastes like Pepsi cola
My eyes were wide like cherry pies
I gots a taste for men who are older
It's always been, so it's no surprise

    "American"
You made me crazy, you made me wild
Just like a baby, scream your name like a child
    Your skin so golden-brown
Be young, be dope, be proud
    Like an American

    "Gods and Monsters"
In the land of gods and monsters, I was an angel
Living in the Garden of Evil
Screwed up, scared, doing anything that I needed
    Shining like a fiery beacon
You got the medicine I need
Fame, liquor, love, give it to me slowly
Put your hands on my waist, do it softly

    "Bel Air"
Gargoyles standing at the front of your gate
[???] told me to wait, but I can’t wait to see you
So I run like I’m mad, to heaven’s door

It think it's kind of kitsch looking. A fashionable kitsch. But kitsch nonetheless.

It's a little repetitive don't you think? Put Me in a Movie is also repetitive you'd say but at least she's playing with her voice.
Not a bad song and definitely not her best.

    What strikes me is that:
    1. she had a lot of boyfriends (actually not that surprising since she's a beautiful girl) and
    2. So many of them were important enough for her to write several songs about them.

There are people who put their career, friends or family first, Lana def is the kind of person that puts her relationship first (This Is What Makes Us Girls). When she's into a relationship she's in at 100% and forget about all the rest. it must be hard for her actual bf to inconsciously compete w/ the others who had such an impact on her life. Damn, if her songwritting was cheesier/less mature and inspired/and country she'll be like Taylor Swift.

I feel like Sam/Lost Weekend/Trash Magic/Other Covers or Coney Island King would've done a MUCH better job making the album art for this re-release. I'm just really disappointed with how it turned out.

Aside from that, I have this horrible, sinking feeling that this re-release is going to mediocre at best. I would LOVE to be proven wrong though :3

@Sam Gho, I think she tries desperately to find someone who'll understand her and fill the emptiness she feels, know who she is and what's going on in her head and heart. As you said she's a shy and lonely person, she need someone else to make her feel enthousiast, excited and "electric". She keeps holding on these memories because of that even though these relationships were far from being perfect or healthy.

Welcome to LANALYSIS, where we get real unhealthy in our obsessions and absolutely revel in it.

This is a project I've been maintaining for a while now--Lana + Analysis...get it? The basic purpose is to relate every one of her songs (that's right, every last one of them) to her known and assumed relationships. Not a stone is left unturned. Privacy is violated. The fans rejoice. Mind you, it’s all pure speculation, but ~this is what makes us stans~

It’s pretty long but an interesting read, if I do say so myself. I hope you enjoy it in all it’s updated glory, and I will continue to update as new information is revealed and new songs come out. I will also be adding pictures, sources, etc. Stay tuned!

    Let’s get started!

    EARLY RELATIONSHIPS (1985 - ~2005)

    LOCAL ROCKSTARS (~2005 - 2009)

YOU MADE ME NICE FOR A WHILE (2009 - 2011)

    POST-BREAKTHROUGH (2011+)

    IN THE LAND OF DISCREPANCIES

    ADVANCED LANALYSIS

    IN SUMMARY..

    Lingering questions…
    - Who the fuck is K?
    - Who the fuck is Ray?
    - Who the fuck is Bill? Is Bill really K? Does Bill matter at all?
    - What significance do cars play? She mentions eight in total (white Corvette, white Pontiac, blue Chevy Nova/Chevrolet, Cadillac convertible, Mercedes, pickup truck, Lamborghini, Bugatti Veyron)
    - When was she/who was she with in New York City and New Jersey? Ditto LA? Most mysterious and pressing, her time in the South?
    - Did she have a fling with Bradley Soileau?
    - Did Chris C. matter enough to her for her to write songs about him?

    Assumptions Made:
    - Lana was a gogo dancer.
    - K is a drug dealer/murderer, dead or on death row.
    - Jimmy is her ex-fiancé, addicted to cocaine despite a Wikipedia page stressing how healthy he is, associated with Chevrolets.
    - Much of Sirens is about completely different relationships.
    - She fucked Bradley.
    - Mike controlled her career but their relationship wasn’t associated with anything fucked up like drugs or stripping.

Thanks for reading! I crave both your feedback and theories! This remains a forum collaboration and I don't claim to have the final say on Lanalytical manners.

For the sake of believability, I'm always hunting receipts, and currently:
    - The interview where she refers to "Yayo" as the prequel to "Video Games"
    - The interview where she describes "Video Games" as dealing with mutual sobriety in a relationship--her and her partner both staying clean.
    - The interview where she talks about meeting her boyfriend in rehab and being dazzled by his small-scale celebrity.
