  1. omg guize did the surprise happen yet? did i miss it? Anyway, what a gorgeous opening track. Beyond excited for this album, that interview was adorable. It didn't really go anywhere, but it was nice to hear about the recording process with the track.
  2. Honestly, this is the boxset I need and would be willing to drop money for ASAP. The art is too good to just be on the vinyl labels/CDs. It's a stretch to expect a boxset dropped this close to release, but who knows.
  3. This one is definitely my favorite of all of them. I need a print of this, dammit. ETA: Thank fuck something worth talking about. The art is incredible, I love this artist, and I'd definitely love to see more of this in future releases. This is my shit.
  4. No, you're not the only one at all. Many of us prefer not to have our first-listen experience spoiled by clout-chasers leaking in LQ and tagging the ever-loving shit out of a bunch of snippets.
  5. All I gotta do is make a new account, create a convincing backstory to support my insider status, and this fandom will just gobble that shit up. Anyone can be an insider as long as no one knows who you are LMAO.
  6. Do I love everything about Blue Banisters? Yes and no. Sure, some tracks could've benefitted from a deeper production, others from a more punchy production, maybe some different vocal takes... Perfection's not the point of it. If music was made strictly from a scientific standpoint, or to adhere to a formula, it'd just be boring to listen to because there'd be nothing human about it. The reason why Blue Banisters is my favorite studio album from Lana is because there's a different kind of honesty than I've heard on any of the other albums. It's a really beautiful, earnest, no-frills navigation through the human experience, the cost of fame, mental health, and the impact of generational/family trauma. It's an elegant "fuck you" to all the backlash over the years, and also reflective of the introspection and inner-work she's been doing since the Chemtrails era. "Living Legend" and "Cherry Blossom" have a strange duality going on where they feel out of place, but they also fit right in when you look at the album from the wider lens. Especially considering the context of why she wrote "Living Legend", it's hard to deny its right to the tracklist. It'd be weird to expect everyone to love every album, or be on the same page with what albums are "a masterpiece" or "the best," because it's all subjective and relative to what's happening to you when the art finds you. If it's wrong, I don't wanna be right. This is my #1 Lana album, and I'm looking forward to seeing if it stays that way after Did you know... releases.
  7. I'm fucking wet. I finally got a pre-order in for the white vinyl. Now all I need to do is stop by the local record store closer to release and put down for the green variant and I'll have all fucking five. It'd be HYSTERICAL if this album ranks lower than Chemtrails for me. It won't. But it'd be funny. I need to buy more frames.
  8. Honestly, that's how it starts now, though. They come out "doing the Lord's work," and then they do the snippet bullshit to keep the attention. And it's also because the unreleased songs lOsE tHeIr TrAdE vAluE when they officially leak. Even if a good deal of us don't give a shit about snippets, they got enough people on here witless enough to keep begging. If each snippet leak got radio silence from the entire forum, you'd see how fast the tune would change. Eh I'm being idealistic there. At this rate I'm only excited for what Lana's officially dropping. The leakers haven't been here for the music for a minute.
  9. I remember back when the Rock Me Stable/Young Like Me work had this level of impact on the forum. Poor thing was getting the International Drag so hard that he just leaked it. It honestly set the precedent. It's annoying af but I'm not above reading for the drama.
  10. Some Sorry Stan: OmG AmericumWhore WE LOVE U PLS GIVE MOAR *Thirty second snippet of my grandmother farting over the chorus being played on my vintage iHome speaker*
  11. And hey, maybe I'm just bitter and nostalgic for a time where we had people in the leak culture who were actually here for the music and sharing it on the principle of "we'll never hear this otherwise, just enjoy it." I honestly can't remember the last time I got genuinely excited for a leak here. Snippets for follows and watching the fanbase trip over each other to suck hoarder assholes. Material altered to death. Songs upscaled and being passed as "lossless" or "true 320". The tags are there for the dweebs to keep tabs on who among their frenemies is sharing the material with other people because they don't have much going for them, besides having ownership of someone else's work making them feel some sense of importance. You see what they call the files now? Cumtrails Over the Honeypoop's EXCLUSIVE RELEASE of Lana Del Rey's IP (snippet) It's already cringeworthy on early work, it's just hysterical when they do it on songs that are about to drop like they're some great insider. These people are just given too much relevance and the fanbase falls for the bait every time. The sooner we stop kissing up to the hoarders is as soon as the music will stop being reduced to commodities for mindless consumption and hype.
  12. Lana's "You're not a legend" read in 2018 was meant to reset the fanbase's frame of mind, alas, there was a glitch in the simulation. I miss when leak culture on this site didn't make me roll my eyes to another dimension. Just a bunch of cloutchasers and people humoring them like it's the cutest shit. I couldn't imagine actually wanting to listen to someone's butchered distribution of another artist's soon-to-release material, or being like "omg i hope no one leaks the untagged version while I refresh this page~ " like we don't know where we are. Anyway, I'm excited for the album. While the lyrics and commentary have been teasing, it's great knowing that in less than two weeks, we will have the album in lossless, unaltered and unspoiled, to enjoy. Kudos to whoever got their fix, and whoever got their hands on the material early, I guess lol. Thanks for the entertainment~
  13. Has anyone ever gotten a Target exclusive vinyl from them after the pre-order sells out? Are they good at getting the inventory up online on release day? I need that red vinyl dammit. That sleeve is my favorite.
  14. YESSS Thank you! I just downloaded everything you had listed, I'll be on the lookout for what gets changed/revised so I can adjust my library. Really appreciate y'all.
  15. You're amazing! And I see you have a lot in Lossless, you know exactly what I need. I would've loved to hear Colossus but I'm just really happy to get what we do have! Thank you SO much, this just got me hella stoked. <3
  16. I fucking love this woman and I hate how late I came to the party that I missed all her earlier stuff that seems to be gone from her Bandcamp. Would love to get my hands on the rest of her discog. She's so goddamn incredible.
  17. I'm starting to think she misread the spellbook and hexed herself because Tulsa Jesus Fucking Christ, honey's frequencies been way off since Lust for Life.
  18. Someone hack weadoralana and BRING THAT DM THREAD TO LIGHT
  19. This day could have been avoided if she just put on some chillhop and did some goddamn acid.
  20. There's just a whole level of mindfulness and self-monitoring that is being thrown out the window here, she keeps digging in her heels like this and she's gonna break a Louboutin.
  21. Me Last Night: I guess that's done! *Logs off Lanaboards until next season's hot dish* Lana: Me Today: Wow, I just can't seem to find the exit.
  22. Honey's doing the most and I am living for it.
