Does anyone else hear her say "Shatter" before/around the 3:00 mark?
  5. Where the fuck have I been that Lana has songs called Bartender and Sylvia? Last time I was here you guys were throwing out acronyms the length of an HTML code, now we got professions and pronouns as song titles and I am done.
  6. Okay someone has got to explain what half of these acronyms mean before I have a seizure.
  7. Me: Let me see what everyone's talking about on the Post-Release Thread, I wanna get in on the action. LB: IRDT RBFY & IRLAS TSHB OTA AWA BAR LOL C++ IKR LMAO WDYT? Me:
  8. This I definitely hear in the counter-melody, now that I see it. I think the counter-melody as different lyrics than the bridge to fit syllable count, those two lines make sense. I kept falling a syllable or two short trying to figure it out. I hope that Lana sings the counter-melody live so we get a better idea.
  9. Bridge: Even with you, I've got no one to lose, so you'd better believe that nobody can make me feel lonely, because I hear (sweetest melodies) Even when you talk that talk with the lights on, I still somehow know that I'll never feel, never feel lonely; I have no fear - it's got me thinking (yeah) Counter-Melody in Final Chorus: Even when you talk that talk with the lights on, I know somehow I feel like I'll never feel, never feel lonely; I have no fear - Even with you, I've got no one to lose, I know somehow that I'll never feel, never feel lonely; I have no fear - I love the way she sings the lyrics during the counter-melody. The notes are so sweet, smooth, and make me even more emotional hearing the lines. Fucking superb song.
  10. It is awkward for where it is in the line, but I am assuming it is intentional. Just basing that on how Atmosphere did the same thing with his song "Molly Cool" where he purposely omitted cuss words from the recording, but they are in the lyrics, and the rest of the album is explicit. I think it's intentionally meant to be a "read between the lines" kind of lyric.
  11. I can't believe the stairway to Heaven verse got wasted on this clusterfuck.
  12. I am going to fucking kill myself if this becomes my favorite song off LFL because that title is trash - garbage in my mind.
  13. Hands down one of her best album tracks. I don't fucking care what anyone says. The fucking lyrics are golden. This album is going to fuck me up.
  14. Two months ago. When's the last time you did something nice for a stranger?
  15. I'll admit that when I first heard the song, I thought about how it'd be cool to see LGBTQ+ people in the music video. I'm not really that bummed out about it, nor can I blame Lana or her team. Based on the information we obtained long prior to the release of "Love", there was a casting call for this video. They did ask for a variety of people, only stating that people with one or two specific hobbies (I believe skateboarding and playing guitar?) were wanted, but that it wasn't necessary to be able to audition. We don't know how much they pushed getting this casting call out there, and we also don't know how many people auditioned. Based on what I understand with casting calls for music videos, and the content of the music video, I am wholly certain that Lana did not really have much of an influence with who landed the audition. She may have told the recruiters/directors she wanted any/everyone, but that's it. None of the scenes I saw physically included Lana with the cast, which would certainly imply that the scenes with the rest of the cast were shot separately, which is common. A lot of people get recruited for music videos and say they never met the artist for the video. That being said, we all know Lana enough to know that if this was something she was absolutely in control over, she would have ensured that the video encompassed the love of all different people. She knows her fanbase. But I truly think that this isn't her fault, and has more to do with whoever was overseeing the casting call. After all, it wasn't Lana that announced that there would be one. It's okay to be a little bummed out that there weren't any LGBTQ+ cast members, it would have been awesome. However, I think that it's important to be mindful about who we appoint as the transgressor, and also try to be open-minded to the fact that none of us have a first-hand account with the directing of the video, and in consequence, it's easy to make assumptions and hyperbolize a situation. So it's fine if any of you want to come to the platform to talk about how you feel underrepresented, your feelings are your feelings, but I think that it's best to convey those feelings without implying that Lana had any sort of influence, or dismissing that Lana knows first-hand how much of her fanbase is comprised of the LGBTQ+ community. And it's also not really anyone's job to entirely backlash at anyone who isn't happy with the video entirely or just some aspects of it, or invalidate their feelings. I do believe that people were in the right to want, or wish, to see LGBTQ+ representation in the video, but I think we can be more comforting, reassuring, and insightful about our opinion when we see that someone's feelings about the video come from an understandable viewpoint. Let's give Lana credit for serving a beautiful music video for her fans, but let that be all we give her credit for; I really believe the casting call had nothing to do with her.
