  1. SAME. I was actually listening to it on a binge last week. No shame. No. Fucking. Shame.
  2. LAST CHRISTMAS BY WHAM! LAST. FUCKING. CHRISTMAS.
  3. "All the boys are playin' flexin' in the pool, swimmin' in the dark blue watchin' the pretty girls, they're singin', blushin' lushin' under the moon dancin' in the dark blue to all the music they watch the boys to, music to watch boys to, music to watch boys to, ooooh, music to watch boys to." God, I wish. I am hoping MTWBT is infectiously boppy.
  4. Besides all of them, the one where he reads romantic text messages. It melts me every time.
  5. NORMAN IS SUCH A FUCKING HUNK LET'S BE HONEST. AND HE IS SO FUCKING CUTE IN INTERVIEWS AND HE LOVES CATS AND HE LICKS FACES AND THAT'S PRETTY IMPORTANT TO ME.
  6. HOLY SHIT THAT FUCKING NOTE IN VIDEO GAMES. "This is all I think o~f~" I NEED A VERSION WITH THAT IN IT.
  7. Is anybody here familiar with classic cartoons that could help me out here? I recently listened to "First Base" for the first time, and I swear to fucking god that the chorus of that song sounds so familiar, like a tribute to a theme song from a TV series I've seen on Cartoon Network/Boomerang, and the show's name is on the tip of my tongue but I can't figure it out because I don't even remember the lyrics to the theme. In other news, really fucking excited for Masochism. I've been looking forward to something new from someone I listen to, and it was a really sweet surprise when Sky announced it. She honestly has a beautiful voice. Sometimes I feel it doesn't deliver well live, but there's just something about her singing that really knows how to make a presence. I just enjoy it so much.
  8. The music video for "So High" is so awkward but I am really digging Doja. "So High" and "No Police" are fresh as fuck.
  9. Also, not to DP, but I feel like I'm in the Twilight Zone participating in a topic created by the Bermuda Triangle himself.
  10. Well, when I went to a lakehouse around late September with a few friends (95% of them going to Fordham,) we had discussed a lot about Lana when I put on her music as we played a bunch of drinking games outside. Anyway, when I mentioned the song "Fordham Road," we got into the subject of how she went to Fordham University and studied metaphysics/philosophy. Four of the friends that are/were also Fordham students had stated that while she is noted among the university's famous alumni, she did not graduate from the university. The next time I see them, I'll inquire about it again, as I forgot whether it was a yearbook or a listing (or even something on the campus itself like a bulletin board or some shit) that confirmed that she attended but did not graduate. However, as stated above, one source states she did graduate in 2008. Discrepancies. Be that as it may, as far as I'm concerned with my resources, she is not a graduate. Which I don't think would be a breach on academic information unless Fordham said she dropped out or flopped or something. I don't entirely know how degrees work at four-year-schools, so I can't theorize if she got at least an Associate's or was an undergraduate. But I'll try to get confirmation when I can with how far she possibly pursued her academic career.
  11. A lot of her unreleased music is really awesome from what I've heard so far; I really dig Too Many Boys and Happy Dre, but I especially love The Woods. Does anyone know if "The Woods" was ever released by White Arrows? I know that they did perform it at some of their gigs, but is this track unreleased/scrapped? Because I personally want to use it for a hoop-dance video but I would feel weird using unreleased tracks.

He has a show in Brooklyn tomorrow and I found out too late to even consider going. It's a cruel world.
  14. Lana's whole life nowadays amounts to she's either damned if she does, damned if she doesn't. It's pretty sad, to say the least. I get people are not into the nihilistic self-destruction elements of Lana's work, to each their own. But at the same time, I kinda detest to the whole "EVERYTHING SHE WRITES ABOUT IS ABOUT THIS" spiel because, well, just as much of her unreleased music says that's not the case. I just personally find it ironic that Lana's every critic's go-to for "We don't mind if anyone else does it, except her" schools of thought. Whether or not it's intentional, I don't know. I just feel like people tend to spot sensitive people who are in the limelight and take advantage of it. I could name probably more than a handful of artists and an even larger number of songs not from Lana that have romanticized self-destruction just as much, and the criticism barely exists. And if it does, it's like "Wow, they push the envelope but it's fantastic!" I think that fuels my sympathy for Lana a lot more than just because I love her. She doesn't catch a break for doing what many musicians have done/written about. Yes, I'll admit that Lana's interviews, particularly during the UV-era, were really controversial, but it's how she felt. The lot of these criticisms really just seem to revolve around invalidating her feelings and experiences as much as possible. I heard somewhere that sometimes we need to stop explaining ourselves so much because the people who love and care about us, don't need an explanation; and the people that don't love or care about us, don't want to hear one anyway. It kinda applies here; none of these people care enough about Lana to want an explanation anyway. I really have no other comment on this. I'm not even Lana and I'm offended by how debasing and brutal this statement is at its core. And that last bit was just absolutely appalling. I'm not even going to get into that mess of a contradiction in regards to the feminism statement. I'm just not even going to get into this at all. This was just sad; I try to avoid reading scathing bullshit like this because it makes me feel bad for the person it happens to, and I regret reading it in the first place. I'm really feeling for Lana more than I did when she got all that backlash around the BTD era. I just hope that Lana can brush this off if/when she finds out about it, because this is anything but a humane exhibition of compassion and concern. It's intentional vehemence.
  15. I really enjoy him. Definitely going to be listening to more of him!
  16. Playground! You'll never find nobody more fun.

    Milk & Bone

What's this? Good music? Is that good music I hear? ... ... ...
  18. I have always loved this song; a lot of Lana's songs have reminded me of video games I've played throughout the years, but for some reason I have always associated Playing Dangerous with Morrigan's theme from Marvel vs. Capcom; probably because of the vibe and Morrigan's personality. Even more-so Gambit's ending, which is a stripped down version of Morrigan's theme.
  19. It's not a joke; I seriously have not had a normal cupcake since 1997.
  20. "Megan Massacre." ... Megan. Massacre. Megan. FUCKING. MASSACRE. I have not seen a scene name since MySpace. Omfg.
