Omg I've never heard of her before but saw her name this morning on LanaBoards so just listened to all of Inbred and now Strangers, she's amazing!!!
  4. I really hope we get this by Friday I haven't listened to any snippets since the first one months ago and I am desperate
  5. It blows my mind that some people don't like WTWWAW, it's easily one of the best tracks on Lust for Life
  6. Manifesting something like the Lust For Life trailer for this album, that was so brilliant
  7. Omg I'm so excited!! I'm definitely listen to Lana's version of this song first before the whole album so in my head it will be a Lana original and FJM's will be the cover
  8. Patience is a virtue. @DragonWhore is coming with deets (or scat) soon
  9. I really do feel something in the wind
  10. Fair enough. Personally I do see a story through the moods and themes of each record and the overall impression that each album gives. Of course art is subjective and I love that people can interpret things differently with a wide variety of stories emerging from the same piece of work, especially when the creator is as complex as Lana is. I do see Old Money being very much a part of the story being told on Ultraviolence. After taking us on the dark journey that came with the move to California, Old Money is an acknowledgement of the person she used to be, as she references the queen of New York City and reminisces on her family and simpler times, insisting that she'd run back if only she were asked to. I think she sings from different perspectives and characters on all of her albums, but the overall story that she is telling is very consistent and constantly building upon what she's established in the previous records. I can't wait to see where LDR9 takes us now that she's really laid things out so personally in Blue Banisters, she could go in any direction from here.
  11. This is very important to remember I think. Lana is only a decade into what will likely be a very long and prolific career. It's truly wild how much music she's given us in that timeframe, and it's mindblowing how consistent she is. Some people like to hate on certain albums, but I'm sure most would agree that even the stuff you like less is still good music. In the future people will look back at all the different sounds she explored and be grateful for them, but some people can't appreciate it all in the present. The story she tells with each album and the way they all subtly build on one another and explore different parts of herself and life in general is really beautiful. Lana really is more of a storyteller than a pop artist, and what she's doing is incredible.
  12. I think the album will expand on the anxiety that NFR touches upon, and give us something reflective of the state of the world. NFR was an introduction to the end of the world as we know it, Chemtrails was being swept up by the wind and escaping from that, Blue Banisters was a deep dive into the personal past, and LDR9 will be a re-emergence into a world that has since collapsed, and establishing one's place in it.
  13. Agreed! Lana's take on a country album would be so gorgeous.
  14. NFR and COCC have completely different vibes, I really don't understand when people say they sound they same.
  15. Different opinions are great but when people feel the need to loudly and often rudely remind everyone how much they hate Jack every time they see the letter J it goes a bit beyond that. Just my opinion though
  16. Some people think it's edgy and cool to hate Jack
  17. This album is going to slayyyy I just know it
