It really is fascinating how differently people hear things because NFR is the absolute opposite of claustrophobic to me, it's an open breeze over the ocean.

I don't even understand where the obsession with piano ballads even came from tbh, I don't consider NFR or Chemtrails piano albums at all

But can AOTY really have a song that bad on it? It instantly disqualifies it from being a 10/10, which AOTY must be. I do trust that it'll otherwise be great though lolol

It's so funny that Jack is blamed for the piano ballads LOL It's also so funny that people are complaining about another piano ballad when we know literally nothing about the song other than the fact that Jack has a piano in his studio

Wowow I am so in love with this album, I've been listening all weekend. The storytelling and atmospheres are just incredible, with so many different vibes cohesively mixed together. Without knowing the storyline, the songs are all individually stunning, and then once you read more about the narrative arc it's just completely wild and somehow all works brilliantly. An artistic triumph through and through.

Where do people get these song explanations on Genius, some of them seem to have nothing to do with the lyrics lol has Ethel elaborated on the story anywhere or are these people making stuff up? For example, on the Family Tree page it says "After the death of her boyfriend Logan in a police shootout following a bank robbery, Ethel finds herself on the run from the cops." but I don't get that from Family Tree at all lol

I could never not want a Lana album tbh LOL I can't wait to see how her current adventures influence LDR10, but that doesn't mean I want to wait for LDR9

I was honestly worried that Ethel Cain blowing my mind would make this album pale in comparison, but this is really excellent. Every single track hits and I love the lyrics and atmosphere throughout. Florence killed it, Jack killed it, it's soo good!! Cohesive and complex throughout and a darker take on dance fever than I expected, which I LOVE. What an excellent week for music
