Now this is what I was expecting from the cover when she first posted the text. If only. Love it.

OMG that's a good comparison! Really perfect kinda indie crossover hit and those earworm beats have serious longevity.

I'm now skeptical about that Team audio...I think it's actually a LQ recording of the studio version, maybe from the album listening session, and not live from iHeartRadio JFC the one Lorde stream I miss and all this new stuff happens. Like she fucking performed Glory & Gore and no one's talking about it!

    EDIT: OH WAIT

DOUBLE EDIT: Oh it was a performance and everyone is confident that it's "Team" despite being called "Good Fights" on the setlist...

I think it on the first [insert number] preorders, but it's really sad that that shop only ships to Australia and New-Zealand, or I would really have pre-ordered it there. I still pre-ordered it (only somewhere else and unsigned and without free vinyl   )

People just call her twigs, but because she got copyright problems because another group was called twigs, she changed it to 'FKA (formely known as) twigs'. I just say it like F-aka twigs, but idk how you really say it (she doesn't really have interviews on youtube where they say her name, so).
I think EP2 is a little grower. I really like 'Water me' and 'papi pacify', the others really have to grow on me (especially 'Ultraviolet'). I just hope she becomes more known to the GP

Just the tune she says it and just the meaning behind it makes me really love the song and the lyric

"Mike Hadreas, also known as Perfume Genius is a singer/songwriter from Seattle, Washington, US. Perfume Genius began when he moved from New York to his mother’s home in Everett, WA. In these relatively isolated conditions, Hadreas felt a compulsion to make music and began composing fragile yet brutally honest songs on the piano. By 2008 he had set up a MySpace page and began offering his music there, along with similarly spare and evocative homemade music videos. Turnstile released the single Mr. Peterson — the tale of a suicidal, pedophile high-school teacher — in 2009. Perfume Genius’ full-length debut, Learning, which presented its tracks in the order in which they were recorded, arrived and released on June 21, 2010."

I'm so addicted to them .
It's a bit weird to hear twigs actually sing popish songs, but I still really like them and I'm curious how these people got them
I feel like I'm the only one posting things in this topic

Well, I contacted the uploaders, and sadly, he doesn't have more. Twigs has more unreleased 2007-2011 era stuff, but when she started as twigs (orginally she was Tahliah or Tahliah Debrett/Barnett) she permanently deleted all her older profiles like facebook and myspace, along with live performance videos. I have found old photoshoots and old random photos, but sadly not more (maybe I find more in the future, but I'm not sure about that). And I only got the official link of Walk 'till you're dead from the producers (?) myspace wth date and song length. Madrigal and I are going to investigate the internet for more stuff, but help is always welcome .
I btw do love a 320 kps version of those songs, I mean, those songs are just

I would love to do that!
Sadly tonight I'm going to the cinema, but this whole weekend I have nothing really interesting to do, so I guess the investigation starts there for me

Ok, so I just found out that she was:

    1. In the Jessie J 'Do It like a Dude' music video:

(girl on the right if you don't see it)

    2. In the 'Beyonce Wants Groceries' video:

Nice to find some fans here
My favorite song is 'Water Me', just the production, her vocals and the lyrics make the song so haunting perfect
And i guess I'm the only one who uses for EP1 the original white cover

I don't know why, but I like it, it's just simple (like the ep title). I hope I can ever get an original 12' vinyl of EP1, because the only link I can find where you can buy it, says it's 'out of stock'    . Now I only have to find money somewhere so I can buy the 12 inch version of EP2 .
Also, I just can't with people who already scrobbled the songs 'Ultraviolet' and 'Papi Pacify', I would die for hearing those songs earlier than 9 September .
Btw. I also made a fanpage for her on tumblr (www.FKAtwigsdaily.tumblr.com) suggestions are always welcome!

twigs is someone who grew up with a lot of quiet, surrounded by valleys, cows, and sheep in Gloucestershire, a largely rural county in southwest England. A serene style that pairs the xx’s unflinching intimacy with a menacing undertow reminiscent of Massive Attack’s Mezzanine. On her unassuming 2012 debut EP, she used negative space in a powerful way, her high-pitched whisper drifting in and out to narrate eerily charged scenes. A forthcoming four-track follow-up, dubbed EP 2 and out on September 9 via XL/Young Turks, finds her even more gloriously weightless.

She's kinda like Grimes, but I like her more than Grimes so idk.
Discuss her flawless music here and I hope to find more fans

I seriously can't wait for all this amazing music
iTunes better bring an EP out with all the songs in HQ after she performed them

I think so, and also parts of the hip operation (if I heard/read that correctly). I don't really know what to expected, the GagaxRichardson book was amazing, but when parts of the Cake Like Lady Gaga video came out I was a little confused to be honest.

Yeah, now I think about it it would be more realistic to release after ARTPOP.
And I think it's nice she mentioned Björk for the app and that she isn't like she's the first human on earth who makes app around the album

Also stuff about the ARTPOP App, and the movie directed by Terry Richardson

I'm really curious what the V Magazine cover is going to look like.
I hope it isn't another naked picture. I mean, I have nothing against them but want something different on the cover

yep, and I also don't think we will get the album cover today, that would be to much on one day in my opinion

Finally, we have a Bowie thread
A couple days ago I was on vacation in London and bought loads of Bowie stuff + been to the 'David Bowie Is..' exhibition (it was really amazing).
My favorite album from him is 'Scary Monsters (and Super Creeps)' and favorite song probably 'Ashes To Ashes' or 'Teenage Wildlife'

I really hope this topic won't flop, because he's just

I only know that in end 2015 it comes to Groningen (I read that in an article), and because before Groningen the exhibition is in Paris, I think around begin 2015 or something, but I'm not sure about that
