I hate the cockroaches here (well, really just the introduced species ~ I don't mind the native ones, they just stay in the leaf litter in the bushes), but they have an adorable cockroach in Australia. It's called, AFAIK, the Australian Giant Burrowing Cockroach, and it's flightless and surprisingly lovable (at least, i.m.o.). They look like overgrown ropy-polies.

Why make them up? Australia had and still does have some of the most incredible fauna on earth...here are just some of the extinct ones. Giant Echidna (the size of a sheep) Marsupial Lion (large as a placental lion, but way scarier i.m.o.) The Diprotodon, which was similar to a two-ton giant wombat The Dromornithidae, a family of scarily large, most likely carnivorous & predatory landbirds. Think emus, but bigger and with huge bills. :X Finally, the Megalania Priscus - a gigantic monitor lizard, most likely similar to the komodo dragon is habits, but over twice as large.

B/c someone we all know isn't changing the original lyrics, I'ma have to fix them for you. Also, does anyone else think the looped vocals throughout aren't really hers? They sound totally different to me, nothing like hers.

Just don't piss her off! She looks slightly peeved in, like, all of the recent interviews. If you ask her anything about the MNEK songs, or working with Matt Squire...or what's the name of the song(s) she did with Linda Perry...or even when she worked with Rick Nowels....

There's no actual evidence she was a "Satanist", . However, she was obviously into some sort of messed up belief system, as can be seen from her contribution to a "COVENFVCK" mixtape, entitled "B!TCH ZO XZC".

1. The old moderator of LDR.fm (bless her heart) said that 'American Dream' and 'Damn You' were the same, I think...if not, someone else who would know confirmed it along the way. 2. I am pretty sure the original uploader of T/MA gave us those tiles for it, and he got it straight from Lana. 3. Pretty sure it's the opposite - I think PMIAM is the album title, and the video is called the other one. Something like that. 4. They're registered as either alternate titles or as the same song...not sure where, though.

I wouldn't count this as shade ~ she doesn't seem to be pushing anything against Lana personally. Lorde was just making a comment about the nature of Lana's lyrics, and I admire her even more for that, especially after the inevitable comparison between the two she will most likely be fighting for the rest of her career. I love that Lorde is essentially my age, and that she is willing to make such intelligent, deserved comments about the music of someone else without being rude or coming across as ignorant. I mean, she directly quoted 'Without You', which isn't even on the standard version of the album. I don't like having to choose between different artists I listen to, but if I had to choose between Lana and Lorde, Ella would win, without a second thought.

Well, 'Team' seems pretty new...apparently, there was still an unmastered version as of June 23rd. Omigosh, that version of 'Ribs' is completely heartbreaking.

Well, I found a better-than-YouTube-quality Radio performance of 'Ribs', and what can I say; I caved. It's incredible. Am I the only one who thinks the album title might be a double entendre of sorts? I don't think the drug is spelled with an 'e' at the end, is it? That would mean that she's using it to refer to an actual heroine, while simultaneously invoking imagery of drugs, as part of the overwhelming social commentary-ness of it all.

They were uploaded recently - a few months ago, precisely - but then she went to great lengths to talk about how ~old~ they apparently are. So confusing.

We have no idea, but she made it sound like they were much older. Personally, I think 2011, but I have no more reason to think that than anyone else...Charli did, however, emphasize how old they were. Speaking of age, though, @@Born To Die has brought to my attention that we really do have no idea how old or young 'I'm Not Sorry' is, so it's very possible it might be an old song after all. Here's what Ludwig had to say about it when asked, though.

I don't laugh very loudly (it's more quiet, especially when it concerns anything from my computer & I'm by myself), but you really had me laughing out loud.

Any way, in other news, let's start anticipating new music! We so far have basically (confirmed) new title, 'I'm Not Sorry'. She's for sure been in the studio with Starsmith & William Orbit (though probably not for herself), Dimitri Tikovoi, and....hmm. Who else? Go Gary and the guy who did the theme for 'Community' helped on 'I'm Not Sorry', j.s.y.k. The picture of that guy in what, France? I think that's Patrik Berger, but I'm not sure...the quality kinda sucks. She's now shooting a video in Japan. In a perfect world, she would have been working with Patrik on a remastering of 'Mess', but we all know that won't happen.

Honestly, I wish she would have some leaks. I check all three registering sites I know how to use for new music all the time, without any change...still those 'Ceremonials' outtakes just sitting there, and, on HFA, even a few from 'Lungs' that we'll most likely never be able to hear. Interestingly enough, though, it looks like 'I Come Apart' was originally going to be a John Legend song! No idea what happened, or who changed their minds, but the version we have with A$AP is apparently a second version. The new album is going to be so good, but I wish there would be word of an eventual single release date.

I'd love it! Thanks so much. I have looked thru Tumblr and all my usual sources, and really didn't want to have to resort to a YouTube rip.

Don't worry, the song itself was released only on the UK deluxe (or smthng) version of 'Ceremonials', listed as 'Landscape (Demo)'. Why it's called that, we might never know, but at for now I'm just glad we have it...James Ford is a great producer.

Someone please help ~ I can't find 'Disobey' anywhere but YouTube, and it's the one thing I want to complete my collection! UGH.
