This kind of situation is not favorable for either party. As fans, it makes us defensive: "So now I can't post ______? My liberty is at stake here!!!"
For the managers, it causes them to look bad: guys, we don't know the terms of their responsibilities! For all we know, Lana's contract is written so that management are responsible for monitoring us! It's not our place to change the deal. . I 100% agree with Aaron on wanting to leave; a few key people have totally screwed up a whole bunch of possibilities.

For now, I am going to comply with these rules, however much I disagree and think that it's NOT the place of management to interfere.

    A note to you, managers:
I appreciate what you are doing and have done. You're taking care of Lana, and not only am I thankful you're doing such a good job, but I am impressed with how much you care about her. I mean, I know it's technically your job, but still--you're showing a lot of diligence to make sure her and her rights(?) are not misconstrued. However, as a fan I am entitled to my own freedom in some ways, and I wish you would not be so adamantly involved in every aspect of our fan base.

He should, yes. But only if:

    He knows what he's doing.
    He knows what's best.
    He really cares about Lana.
    He protects Lana.

These three clowns are new moderators? Oy. In no time this forum will collapse like a balsa wood bridge underneath a flaming cannonball. No, really folks, what does a moderator actually do? And why is there a need for so many? Are we fortifying the place for the imminent FBI sting?

Lily, were those magic cookies? You should go pepper the forum with some incoherent, rambling posts so as to make me appear a little less insane.

    Brief Paragraph(s):
I've been a fan of Lana for a very long time, and as a result, I've also been a part of the Lana community for a very, very long time. From the first couple pages in the epic thread on SIN, to the now defunct lanadelrey.fm, to lanaboards.com, I've always sought out the best places for Lana discussion, which is why I'm here now. This is the place to be.

I love being a part of community. I love the discussion and the debates and the camaraderie and the inside-jokes and the friendships that grow and getting to know really, really amazing people. :3 I've been so, so blessed to have met some of the most incredible people and to feel as though I have a second home as a result of being on these Lana forums. #TeamLana has treated me really kindly, so it's important to me that others have that same experience too -- being a moderator isn't only about implementing ideas and managing threads and subsections -- it's about helping to create a welcoming, fun, safe environment in which people want to come and talk and joke and get info and make friends. I think (if i may toot my own horn here), that I am very welcoming, warm, kind, fair, fun and I have a sense of humor (although let's be real -- I'm not very funny) (._. ), and I think others would agree. I want to give back what #TeamLana has offered me, and I'd love to do that in particular by implementing more community activities. :3

    Sirens: Bad Disease 21 plays
Unreleased: Hundred Dollar Bill 1,075 plays
    Demos: Radio 839 plays
Collabs: Not enough collabs for me to even care.

I want to love the demo "Carmen" video the most, but I can't, because I haven't seen it.

  14. Madrigal liked a post in a topic by Monicker in Rumours Sub-forum?
I thought this thread was going to be about rumors concerning an esoteric sub-forum...a forum within this main forum, hidden from plain sight, but sending out a black light in all directions...

    Isn't most everything a rumor?

How long before the thread unravels entirely?

This is VERY true, Riley! I can see theirs angle with that in mind, but hey--when Someone mentions something they shouldn't, and it becomes an issue affecting the entire fan base because of a rumor, then it's not our fault for "spreading" it. If it's as imperative as it seems to e that all news is officiated, then there's absolutely no fun left to be had in participating in any news section. And that's the truth.

Goodbye! ;( You will be missed.
I think it may be best for some of us to follow your example. I appreciate you, and will always miss your help in (attentpting) to guide this fan base, however unruly. :'(

This brings up another very valid question. Why would they continuously allow the Public Access of such databases as BMI and ASCAP if they did not intend for "amateur" fans to find them? Am I spreading a rumor when I say that "Live or Die" is a real title, because it has been publicly registered for us all to see?

This is not at all a jab at you or anyone specifically: the person who made this edit DID get sufficient credit, but this fan base is a bit notorious for either not paying attention or forgetting things. I lamented about this on LDR.FM shortly before it went down. It seems that we go in cycles, retreading the same erroneous information and rumors, only to correct and debunk then over and over again.
