Ha ha! Do you have the link? -
SNL ad for Lorde's appearance this Saturday
-
OK sure, Grammy winner and critically acclaimed artist Lorde is just a 'fad'. Anyway why are you repeatedly posting on the thread of an artist you don't like?
-
I am only just getting ninth Björk but she is so amazing and creative! I love Pagan Poetry <3
-
I just listened to 'I love you, Honeybear' and 'Real Love Baby' and I am in love.
-
I'm reading the Diary Of Anne Frank and a collection of poetry from 8 poets (e.g. Sylvia Plath, Stevie Smith...).
-
Thanks for telling me, I updated it.

What We Know About 'Melodrama' so far: *The first single is 'Green Light' *Ella co- Produced it with Jack Antoff (from 'The Bleachers' and 'Fun') *We haven't got a comfirmed release date from Ella yet, but there have be rumours of June 16th. *Ella has used the phrase 'Meticulous Pop' to describe it and it could have political references * Ella comfirmed there will be no features on the album (sourced from her twitter) *She described the album as being more 'expansive than the last' and it will have 'quiter momments, softer momments and vulnerable momments' and 'super rich songs'. *Ella said the subjects in this album will be about what comes after teen years (following on from the themes of Pure Heroine). She also said that the lyrics 'are some of the best she has ever written'. *She will be performing on SNL on March the 11th. We will probably hear another new single, as well as Green Light. *One of her favourite lyrics is 'I ride the subway..' (sourced from Lorde's twitter) *She said that there are 'definitely a few similair textures/feelings/melodies' when asked if the album is like 'Pure Heroine'. (Sourced from Lorde's twitter) *She described the album art colours as being 'violets, midnight blues, and a touch of heart-wide open pink' (sourced from Lorde's twitter) *The album was described by an industry insider as being 'very dance, very pop and very Lorde'. UPDATE- Lorde said in an interview that 'Green Light' is as 'Pop and dance sounding the album gets'. This insider may have only heard the lead single. *She's playing at a lot of festivals, for example Coachella and Governors Ball (to names a few). So that's what we know so far!

Why is everyone saying it will get cancelled?? Also, what examples of whole albums getting cancelled bc of leaks do you know? -
It's growing on me. The whole album better be more 'Classic Lorde'.
-
I've waited three years for this :| I hope the album is better. Or I hope this is a trick, and the rest of the album is Björk-esque and she delivers some weirdly beautiful experimental songs and puts her finger up to mainstream by shading 'Green light'. Yeah probably not on that last theory!!

As a big Lorde stan I'll give my honest op: It's ok. I prefer it more than most of the stuff in the charts now. But I don't love it. I'm not getting that tingly feeling I did with PH. It does sound manufactured and bland in my op, or at least compared to her old stuff. I don't dislike it, but I only just like it. The lyrics aren't amazing either... and that's one of the things I crave from her. But this is just one single. I'm not going to say she's 'sold-out' until I hear the whole album. Please Lorde, give us something good!

I hope the single has indie pop vibes like 'American Money' by BØRNS. Only a few hours now

https://mobile.twitter.com/lorde/status/837017560340127744 The director of the MV for Green Light is Grant Singer, who has directed MVS for the Weeknd, Arianna Grande and Sky Fierria. Sourced from Lorde's twitter btw.

This time tomorrow, the prophecies will be fulfilled!!! Seriously I need to stop with all these Lorde/lord puns But I really like the sound of the new single so far .. I don't think it sounds generic. But like I said, we can't really judge until the whole song comes out
-
Yeah I agree. But yeah, if it was produced by Calvin Harris...

NEW SNIPPET! ://www.imwaitingforit.com

We've only heard really short snippets, and I'm pretty sure the one with her vocals is only 7 seconds long. I don't think we should be too quick to judge. I'd be dissapointed If she went in a pure generic pop direction. She had said that her album would be 'meticulous pop', which I liked the sound of. Just because something is pop doesn't make it bad or generic instantly, in my op. Lana had a lot of pop influences in BTD, and I think most of us can agree it was an ace album (I know it was an alt album, but do you see what I'm trying to say? Lol). I just hope it's not generic and overly repetitive like a lot of chart pop, and I also hope there is diversity in the album. I pray to our Lorde and saviour that the lyrics are amazing too, even if the album was pop trash, I could maybe forgive her if the lyrics were spectacular. Anyway her website will probably update in the next 25 mins!! There hasn't been confirmation on the album name yet, from what I know. 'Greenlight' is the single.
