Artists are still people. I'm not an artist yet I spread the word because it's important and it's the decent thing to do. The thing is, Lana has portrayed herself to her fans to be socially aware and has actually gotten political before, so why now does she choose to be quiet? I understand she could receive backlash, but it'll happen if she does or doesn't make a post. If she cares, she'll bring awareness. It really is that simple. Her spreading awareness could do a world of good and prompt her fans to make donations and such. Also I think people here also forget that Lana has black stans, and I know quite a few are actually disappointed in her silence.

When are ya'll gonna realise celebrities are LITERALLY regular people? If you care about racial issues, you'll speak up. It's that simple. There's nothing more to it than that. It's cowardly to stay quiet.

This isn't about having opinions validated, it's about bringing awareness to a horrendous act that took the life of an innocent man. Sure, celebrities don't have to post about it, but I sure would question them if they didn't, especially if these celebrities never hesitate to promote their music any time of day. Is it not our job as human beings to actually give a shit about another person's life and bring awareness to a platform filled with millions of followers? It's more than just a donation link. Donation links don't challenge people's minds - words do.

As I just mentioned in a user's status, I think that regardless of what she does, people will still say something negative about her. If she does speak up, they'll attack her and probably call her a hypocrite. If she doesn't, they'll still say shit. I think it's up to Lana to really dig deep and ask herself if she really cares enough about the lives of black people and speak up and bring awareness regardless of the criticism she'll be met with. Will she? Who knows. But I hope she does.

So here's a quick little moodboard I made for COCC Obviously it's not the best and we don't have much to base the aesthetics off of, but I tried to include a lot of things we have already. Chemtrails = planes. Palm trees = LA etc. I would like to think lilac/blue with peach is a good pairing for a color scheme, I think it's very summery and soft. I added the typed words because of her poetry.

Lana seems to be a hardcore patriot. I don't think she's gonna talk about a current issue where a cop's job is on the line. Let's be real. I don't like to assume so much but she seems very selective about what she talks about and brings awareness to, sadly.

I think Lana's silence is probably because if she does speak up about George Floyd, people are gonna be like "didn't you invalidate black women in your post?" etc. But overall it's still strange imo. She was quick to call out Kayne, Azealia, because it benefited her at the time to do so. Also let's not forget Lana literally dated a cop, who was guilty of racial profiling.

Do you think Marina watched Lana's video about mentioning certain alt girls and thought it was about her or do you think Marina dmed her about the entire situation to give her two cents and Lana wasn't having it? Either way I suppose it doesn't matter but it's still a shame how Lana is losing people who used to be close with her
