    Lorde

Is she really gonna wait this long only to release 11 tracks (and 2-ish interludes)? Hate to sound like I'm whining, I'm just a little disappointed

The production sounds sooo good, oh my gosh. It sounds very modern but still has that vintage feel to it

    Miley Cyrus

Here's a live preview of the new Miley song "Inspired" which was compared to The Climb by her in the interview above. It sounds pretty good but kind of cheesy, while I can't really tell from that short of a live snippet. Edit: here's another preview! It's the aforementioned one + another 10 seconds-ish! x
  8. If I had to choose 1 from each record: AKA: Pawn Shop Blues BTD: National Anthem Paradise: Bel Air UV: Brooklyn Baby HM: The Blackest Day My favorite of hers is, and will always be, Brooklyn Baby. It doesn't get much better than that song, in my opinion<3
  9. Reviving this thread, folks!! Thought it would be fun to do this. So here are my top 10 records from the 2010s, thus far*: Ultraviolence / Lana Del Rey notable tracks: every. single damn. one. - listen every single day all day (but I highly recommend this as a summer record, when it's really hot) 22, A Million / Bon Iver notable tracks: 33 "GOD" / 666 ʇ - listen anywhere, at any time, when you're feeling meditative, philosophical and introspective, when you need healing or a prayer in the form of indie psychedelic folk songs How Big How Blue How Beautiful / Florence & the Machine notable tracks: Which Witch / Various Storms & Saints / HBHBHB / Delilah / Third Eye - listen when you need healing/strength M3LLI55X / FKA twigs notable tracks: Figure 8 / In Time / Mothercreep - listen anywhere, anytime, by yourself Currents / Tame Impala notable tracks: The Moment / Disciples / Love/Paranoia / New Person Same Old Mistakes - listen in the summer, day or night, with your friends or even at a party Ison / Sevdaliza notable tracks: Human / Amandine Insensible / Shahmaran - listen by yourself, in your room when it's dark out I Love You, Honeybear / Father John Misty notable tracks: Chateau Lobby #4 (in C for Two Virgins) / True Affection / Holy Shit - listen in the sun, anywhere, with anyone Modern Vampires of the City / Vampire Weekend notable tracks: Obvious Bicycle / Step / Hannah Hunt / Don't Lie / Hudson - listen in New York City in that time between the winter and the spring I Forget Where We Were / Ben Howard notable tracks: Rivers In Your Mouth / Time Is Dancing / Conrad / Evergreen / I Forget Where We Were - listen in the rain, when you're feeling pensive, philosophical or uncertain Cleopatra / The Lumineers notable tracks: Angela / Sleep On The Floor / White Lie / Sick In The Head / In The Light ~ for most of the record, listen in the car when it's sunny & you're happy I based my top 10 off of records that I truly loved every single song from, without exception. Notable mentions: Art Angels by Grimes & I See You by The xx & Paradise and Honeymoon by Lana Del Rey among others I may be forgetting! <3 *Lust for Life is projected to become my #4, kicking each song down one place and kicking Cleopatra off of the list lol x
  10. Beautiful People is going to be THAT song, just wait. The Brooklyn Baby (ft. Lou Reed) that never happened. I may have also said that about Coachella before I heard it lolololol
  11. Not a fan of meat in general, but yes I would agree! Do you agree that Britain should have stayed in the EU?
  12. Best? No. That's a strange question. I don't think there is a "best" language. If there is, it certainly wouldn't be English since it's so ambiguous and its American speakers don't care for following its rules. That question really threw me off lol sorry Do you agree that there is a higher being (God, Allah, Yahweh, etc.)?
  13. CWIMM just got released in the US and I'm not even excited
  14. Okay gorls it's been a full 12 hours since my CWIMM #meltdown and I can say that I've kind of not really come around to the song. I'll probably ever go back and listen to again (kind of like DLMBM or Lucky Ones) but I appreciate where the song came from, which was Lana's heart. While I hate the production and wish this was an acoustic song, it doesn't matter to me anymore because the lyrics--while somewhat cliche and tacky--are really important, especially nowadays. I'll never come around to liking this song (sonically speaking ) but I have grown an appreciation for it and I do keep singing parts of it out loud whilst I imagine a guitar strumming in the background Edit: also just wanted to put it out there that this is my first Lana meltdown. I'm usually pretty cool with whatever she wants to do, or not do, with an era. I don't care about promotion or sales, I really just live for the music and the visuals... but this song.... this song changed me as a Lana stan...... I've never hated a Lana song from first listen as much as this one It is what it is, though! I'm glad some of you really enjoy it as much as I enjoyed the previous two LFL songs<3
  15. I really want to do an ISON Survivor would you guys want to do that?
  16. As much as I detest this song, I would never be that guy to be like "I'm unstanning!!!!!!! era cancelled!!!!!!!" like grow up, people. This song may have been rushed but it's clearly something she loves (and something she thought we would love). This album is going to be amazing. In the end, she always delivers.

  18. http://www.idolator.com/7662950/lana-del-rey-new-song-coachella-woodstock-in-my-mind-stream "With its drum machine loop, Lana’s latest sounds more like a bonus offering than a part of the epic Lust for Life universe." This seems like one of the first--if not the actual first--article about CWIMM and they even caught onto the terrible drums
  19. Gemini Feed - 29 Mind Games - 41 Trainwreck - 57 Weaker Girl - 13 27 Hours - 52
  20. Happy - 51 Froot - 24 I'm A Ruin - 33 Blue - 4 Savages - 28 Immortal - 32
  21. Alibi - 9 Goddess - 11 Waiting Game - 11 Brain - 11 This Is What It Feels Like - 10 Stick - 9 Fuck Em Only We Know - 33 Drowning - 20 Beggin for Thread - 11 Change - 10 Someone New - 12 Under The Table - 10 Before I Ever Met You - 12 Bedroom Wall - 11 I didn't know people liked Fuck Em as much as I do? Glad y'all do though, it's gorgeous. Drowning is one of my favs as well, but I almost got into this terribly scary car accident when I was listening to it and now I am scarred for life ahahaha
  22. Hey gorls, I don't think anyone has done this yet and I'm super curious. Choose your favorite out of the official Lust for Life songs. Mine is Love >>> Lust for Life >>>>>>>>>>>>> Coachella - Woodstock in My Mind
